Property Description

The Hostel

This is a great little place in downtown Tegus with a fun vibe, cool art, chill music, cold beer, and nice rooms with private baths. It's a nice old house that has been adapted into a hostel and a bar-restaurant that is open for locals, very nice environment.

The dorms are well equipped with an ensuite, comfortable beds, charging outlets, AC, fan and hot water. There are three rooms all fitting 4 people, one with 4 twin single beds and two with 2 twin single beds and a queen-sized bed. Staff is very nice and helpful.

We have a bar/restaurant

The hostel has a restaurant and bar. In the evenings there’s food, beer, and lots of energy and fun as the local young people come in for a party on the terrace.

The bar is definitely hopping, but they close the terrace (where the rooms are) at 12 midnight, so no need to plan to sleep much before then. The food offered here at the hostel is epic and the beer is ice cold. If noise bothers you please take that into account when booking please.

What to Do (Tegucigalpa)

Tegucigalpa is a great city that is relatively undiscovered on the backpacker trail. Nevertheless, there is a lot of life in the city. From up and coming yuppie scene to local market delicious soups, you can be sure to love this city.

This city has lots of hidden gems and feels like your ‘off the beaten track’. Museum of National Identity, La Leona Park, Mercado Los Dolores, Mercados de Comayaguela, The Picacho Christ National Park, La Tigra National Park, Santa Lucia, Valle de Angeles.

Is it Safe?

We get this question a lot. We tell all of our guests that safety should not be a concern when in downtown Tegucigalpa. Is a very safe area and we suggest you walk around with not being concerned? Nevertheless, Tegucigalpa is a big city and you should always be cautious when traveling with expensive belongings such as cellphones or cameras. Full disclamer: There is the issue cat calling with women during the day but nothing more than that. If you're a woman traveling alone, keep safety in mind when walking around after dark.

We have free high speed internet service and WiFi at the hostel.

THE hostel in tegus. Super cool atmosphere, you feel from the first minute welcome and as with friends. The fact that it has a awesome bar and is visited by mostly the locals makes it even better! The owner and staff is extremely helpful and kind. 100% recommendation

I liked the hostel in the bar atmosphere although it was quite noisy on a Friday night. Very clean and wonderful staff. The problem was that the owner said he would arrange a taxi to come at 4 in the morning. I paid the owner but the taxi never came and I had to pay another taxi driver on the street.

A really nice hostel with small, modern and clean dorms. It has a nice outdoor patio area and bar, although this can get noisy in the weekends. The staff were great and very helpful. I didn't like Tegucigalpa at all but this hostel was great for stopping over.

    Fabulous

Be aware the rooms are above the bar and adjacent the terrace so if your a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend. But the terrace is closed to the public at 11PM and otherwise I had no problems with ear plugs and I’m a light sleeper. The terrace and rooftop are otherwise terrific and they keep the place very clean. The dorms are also very comfortable and with A/C. Good locations and everything considered I would definitely stay again.

So. Its true that its a very good hostel. But if you go there know that its literaly in a bar. I ahouldve read more reviews and knownit but coulsnt sleep until I used the orovided ear plugs and even then it didnt completely block all the noise. Unless you are olanning to party every night I cant recommend this. Otherwise the atmosphere is the bomb!

Good hostel, good location, helpful staff. Booked for dorm beds, took a private on arrival. Kitchen is only available on l think Sun & Mon? So probs not the best option if you want to cook you’re own food. Great spot to meet and hang out with locals.

    Very Good

When I arrived there was no one there. I went to the barbers next door, who tried to contact the workers several times but no one answered. Once someone did eventually turn up 1hr later, the ensuite dorm room was nice, beds super comfy, and the staff friendly. There's a good atmosphere as the hostel is also a popular local bar. But security-wise, it's totally open to the public, and there's no lockers for personal items etc. Food is expensive, so go to other local places for great cheap eats.
