Let me start off giving a a special thanks to the staff Ruth, Jose, Sandra, Jilmer, Evelyn, Celina and other people that I've interacted with. I feel so full and I felt like I made some genuine friends. In fact, I originally was supposed to leave on the 14th but I extended my stay and I wanted to stay at La Zona. Not just because of how nice the place is but because of the people I mentioned made me feel. I felt cared for and these people made this guy feel loved. ¡Los quiero mucho!

I stayed at La Zona Hostel for almost two weeks. The property is nice, and the staff are accommodating. I met some of the nicest guests during my visit. I’ll miss the late nights of chatting, and the laughs over meals. I think breakfast is included with private rooms and is available for a nominal fee for individuals that book the dormitory spaces. A second light blanket might be useful for those assigned to the second floor dormitory. Thanks, Andrea and team for everything! It was a blast!

Loved the cubby style bunks and personal fan/reading light. The dogs were super cute and sweet - except when they peed on the indoor astroturf. Kitchen was well stocked and always open. Location was very convenient for exploring Zona Rosa.

I stayed at La Zona for 3 nights. I don’t have any serious complaints. The bathroom situation on the 2nd floor is a little crowded because there is only 1. The staff is wonderful though, they’re very friendly! The breakfast was good, the bed was comfy, and it’s in a great location.

I stayed the night before an early ticabus opposite- convenient location, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was pretty grim and they often don’t have running water at night. It’s also quite open plan so you can hear everything in the lounge area going to sleep - including I think two noisy dogs. It was fine for a stop over, but I’m glad I didn’t stay. Do what you need to do in El Salvador and leave quickly I’d say!

I had heard some bad things about this hostel before arriving from friends, but after I booked. They have a problem with cost on single rooms on hostel world. So I purchased a room for 12 dollars to find they would not honor that and it was 35 dollars. There are dogs in the lobby who are very aggressive. Apparently the big dog has some mental/behavioral issues, nipped at me, fully jumped on me multiple times. This could be a great Hostal but they have some things they should work out.

Not great. They have a bunch of dogs that live there and bark. One even bit the other person traveling with me. The patio smells a bit like urine and the room was not at all what we reserved. BUT, the staff was super nice and didnt charge us for our stay due to the dog incident. Overall not horrible but not optimal.
