Absolutely amazing atmosphere. Easily the most fascinating hostel I've been to. Nostalgic value is unbeatable considering the long tradition of passenger ferries in nordic countries. Breakfast was really good as well, and the staff was very nice. They have really made an admirable effort in making a old ferry into cozy hostel, without compromising the historic value of the ship.

Nice clean warm place at an interesting location - a former ferry boat! The location is great in the spring, summer and autumn - it's 2km away from the centre. However when I was there it was -14 with a real feel of -24 degrees and I then wished I had booked a bit closer to the centre. Oh, and breakfast is included in the price and it rocked!

Good location. Small adequate cabin to sleep in. A lot of stairs to carry my case. My knees just managed it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Nothing elaborate but plenty good healthy stuff to eat. I would stay again and do recommended it if you are looking for basic affordable stay in the city.

It is a very cool place and concept with very affordable single rooms. If you are looking for an interactive hostel experience, it is not built for it, with common rooms a bit hidden away. Then again, I came during Covid-19 so who know what it is like during 'normal' times. Breakfast was good.

The ship was a great place to stay. Although it was a half-hour walk away from downtown, the river made it very enjoyable. The nights were cold, however, and there weren't any extra blankets. The common kitchen was a fun place to hang out, with books and some games to play. Would definitely visit again.

S/s Bore : Characterful vessel - attractive cabin. Air a bit cold. Staff very nice and helpful and got me a working heater. No bars etc on the upper decks open - although the advertisements suggested they would be. Website: Annoyed me enormously by asking for my nationality and then only offering me English. There are possibly millions of people living in England, and born and bred in the state of England, who do not consider themselves to English nationality. My nationality is BRITISH!

I thought it would be a nice experience to Spend the night on a boat and for the most part it was. The walk to get there was very enjoyable and the scenery magical. Deck five has a lovely outdoor seating area where you can enjoy snacks and drinks. The private cabin was small but I had everything I needed. I think my main critique is that the bed was tiny and creaked a lot. I do toss & turn quite a lot in my sleep and the noise woke me up a few times. All in all it was fine for one night!

It was cool to stay on an old ship, but the stay was far from comfortable. The room was old, small, cold, smelly and had thin walls. Breakfast was very disappointing. The location is OK, it's right opposite the castle and a half hour walk along the river into town. I thought it was expensive for what you got. If I had this room in a normal hotel I would have been very unhappy. After 2 nights the novelty had definitely worn off.
