An easy location to get on the ferry and see other cities, but there is also things to see in Menaggio too! The hostel has recommendations of things to do and routes to take to see the most of places. It also has great prices on meals and a cool atmosphere to meet other people. There are cool activities at good prices to enjoy. I would recommend others to stay there.

The hostel is beautiful situated on the lake! We stayed at the nearby Peace Lodge, which are the private rooms. A thing to note: the private rooms are about 5-10 min walk up the hill from the main lodge. The rooms were great value for money and included breakfast! The set menu dinners were also good.

Wonderful stay here, right in Menaggio. The location is great (though the Peace Lodge building where we stayed was about 8 minutes from the hostel itself) and the facilities were great. Awesome bar and restaurant with excellent specials. The all you can eat buffet was a real treat. The information and suggestions provided for things to do in the area were helpful and the staff were wonderful. Would recommend!

The location is perfect, but the climb to get up to the lodge is exhausting. Great views from the room though!

    Fabulous

The views were amazing. The private rooms are a steep and far walk away from the main hostel. But the views make up for it! The staff are lovely and warm. Of the 3 options of bikes they advertised, they only had the most expensive to rent to us (others not working) - not very cool. Breakfast was alright, but I wasn't expecting it to be included so it was a lovely surprise. I'm definitely coming back to Lake Como and I'll definitely be staying here again. Good value for money

The place has two buildings - one is a youth hostel and the other is for older folks. The hostel is located in Menaggio, which is a 40 minute bus ride away from Como. Menaggio is a touristy town, on the larger side, that is located mid-lake. The staff is friendly and they have a simple breakfast set up. They serve dinner for extra cost, but it’s cheap and simple.

The hostel was very clean and quiet, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Since the hostel is located on a hill the views are really enjoyable. We stayed only for one night so we didn't get to see so much, but we had a good and comfy time in the hostel. Food and drinks are a bit pricey even though it's supposed to be a youth hostel with respective prices. Everything else was fine.

Great place! The walk up the hill is about 10 minutes, but the building boasts incredible views so I would argue this is better than the hostel down by the road. The staff are really helpful too - we had the fire alarm going off during my stay, but I gave them a call and they came right up and dealt with it. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great place to stay in Menaggio. Good location and bar/restaurant. Our room had a bit of rubbish in it when we arrived but it was fine. Hope for a room with a view! It was great.

The hostel is located uphills and after the check-in, if you don't have a car, you will have to carry your luggage through a narrow stairs street, what can be very exhausting. The breakfast is very very simple - bread, butter, jam (always strawberry), tea, coffee, milk, a very strange orange juice, corn flakes and cookies. As we spent 6 days in this hostel, at the end we had enough. The room service consists in only taking the garbage from the room (not from the bathroom) so it was like nothing.
