I stayed at Nomade in June, it was pretty full with a lot of travellers from around the world. I met some great people in the common area and we all went out together. The dorms are really comfy and the lockers give you that extra sense of security. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Kuching near some yummy food places. They have clearly just recently redecorated and seem to be refurbishing as well so i am looking forward to coming again on my way back in a few weeks.

Tucked quietly at one corner within the city centre, the hostel is located close to tourist attractions and has good value-for-money. Staff were informative and helpful, especially in arranging for my personal transport. Breakfast is free but basic, with unlimited coffee and tea for guests. Room is spacious and air-conditioned throughout the day. Great setting within the property with various facilities in place. Highly recommended for travellers of all types.

Nice atmosphere but there was almost no one there when I stayed which made it a bit boring. Still a good hostel though

The public space was really nice, the common area and balcony were very comfortable and well decorated. The dorms were also quite clean. There was only one toilet and one shower, so that could be a bit slow.

Very quiet hostel in a good location but the photos of the rooms are really old, everything is a bit tired looking and in need of a lick of paint. The shared bathroom facilities were average at best.

On the website it tells that free airport transport will be arranged when booked for three days. Also weekend activities are promoted on their website. Unfortunately non of it is true and these services are not offered. Overall the hostel reflects the price and the only problem is that you have to take of your shoes and cannot wear slippers inside, so you basically have to stand in piss when going to the toilet. Rooms are OK and breakfast is good! Please add electricity sockets near beds.

The photos shown for this hostel seem to be from a few years ago. It’s now much more run down and the current management is disorganised. At first the manager couldn’t find my booking, then couldn’t let me into our room as the key didn’t work so we had to change rooms, then the key he gave me didn’t work on the outside gate. There was one sink and two showers on our floor, with no light for the sink when it’s dark and the showers had broken windows and ceilings. Much better hostels in Kuching
