About

Welcome to Lemon Tree Hostel in Batsi, on the island of Andros. It is my private home so you will see my things, my projects, my life, arround here. It is open as a hostel in the summer (and winter).

Every morning I have breakfast and I’m available to share tips about waterfalls, free hiking routes, cliff jumping spots, and five beaches you can walk to — plus one secluded beach and a rock cave nearby. The island of Andros is known for its extensive network of marked hiking trails, and this is the perfect base to explore them as many hikes start right from our doorstep.

I call it the Big Stone Tent. It’s a simple rugged stone house from the 1940s: we sleep inside or outside, but we live outside. Beds are comfortable and accommodation is straightforward, but most of the experience happens in the garden, on the rooftop, and across the terraces.

The house sits in the heart of Batsi, yet is secluded and surrounded by nature. In just three minutes on foot you are in the village center with cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets — but once you step back in, you are in a different atmosphere.

I regularly organize group activities: beach visits, sunset dinners, spontaneous hikes, and other small events depending on the mood and the people staying.

We have a garden, outdoor kitchen, rooftop, and multiple terraces where you can relax, work remotely, or socialize. This is a social house for independent travelers who want more than just a bed.

If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely wonderful the Lemon Tree hostel is. It is truly the most beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The hostel is nothing like you will ever experience in your life. It’s a beautiful balance of living outdoors and indoors. The kitchen, a cozy, eccentric space, is primarily outdoors with a semi covering roof. The living room is also outside, but I would recommend going to the garden for a nice relaxing space. And after 23:00, it’s garden time anyway. Truly amazing

I had such a great time at the Lemon Tree! The location is absolutely perfect as the beaches are a short 5 minute walk away and the atmosphere of the place was amazing. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and genuine people, Miltos provided so much helpful information about the island and even set up a sunset dinner in the mountains for the hostel. It was truly such an amazing experience, highly recommend!
