The best thing about this hostel is the stunning interior. The historic building is filled with beautiful works of art. The staff helped me out so much while I was there! The hostel is located in the old alleyways, so there are plenty of shops and delicious restaurants nearby. Also, the beds are comfortable by Chinese standards and are solid enough not to shake when your bunkmate rolls over. It can be a little tricky to navigate the alleys, but totally worth it.

I enjoyed my stay. The location is great and the hostel is interesting because of its age. Also the area where it is located is very interesting, old, with lots of alleyways and the people living there are friendly and characters. I plan to come again next time I fly to Beijing.

It's a shame, just needs a little love. The staff are welcoming and helpful. It's an old building that needs a lick of paint and maintenance issues fixing. The 10 bed dorms are a disgraceful. The air conditioning is leaking on the floor, piped into an old water bottle that over flows so guests try to keep on top of it. Holes in the wall and ceiling were plaster has fallen off. There's a light switch that if you have it on whilst in the shower you get a shock. Classic building with potential

Overall, hostel was pretty nice. I've stayed in a lot of places in China, but the staff support was underwhelming. Took me 30+ minutes to check in (no one else was being helped, except for friends or other staff members who would pop in and ask for something to be done).

The center court is beautiful with pond, plants and sitting area. The shared bathroom/showers,YIKES! 3 out of 4 toilets taped shut out of order. And dirty. Our room sink was plugged full of water/hair. The floor in the bathroom and sleeping area covered in hair and general grime. The shower had black mold, very dirty. Gratefully the sheets were handed to us fresh and crisp from the cleaners and the pad/pillow were newish. After storage, we got our backpacks back soaking wet! Flood? Yuk!

Dorm rooms (which aren't shown in photos, clearly for a reason) are awful. Paint peeling from the walls, terrible, creaky bunk beds with plugs/lamps that don't work. My room had a leaky air conditioner meaning I woke up in the morning to a puddle all over the tile flooring, luckily I noticed before slipping, and before it reached any of the bags on the ground (because there's no storage space). Bathroom was disgusting, no toilet paper, didn't see it/think that it had been cleaned lately.

Don't stay in this Hostel or verify the rooms before paying. We were staying in a men and women dorm separately. There was extreme mold in the bathrooms, black spots over the white tiles. It hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The shower heads are broken, I got electrocuted in the women's room shower. When I told the receptionist, he didn't seem to really do anything about it. Ne restez pas dans cette auberge, moisissures et insalubre. 不要住在这个不卫生的招待所。完整的模具。

There are three different locations, each of them very different. Inside the rooms it was dirty, the wallpaper was coming off, the air-conditioning was flooding the room and the shower shocks you. There is no toilet paper, but there is a wet rag inside the bathroom that everyone can use

DO NOT STAY HERE, especially not in the 10-bed dorm. It is absolutely filthy. Went to take a shower in our en-suite bathroom which is also used as smoking room by Chinese roommates. Got electrocuted by the shower. Asked the guy at the reception to take a look, he said to use the other shower and that he'd take a look later. Asking him about it later he said someone would come to fix it tomorrow, but he'd said the same to someone else the day before. They just don't care.
