I also got some great training in on spot. Thanks alot to Edgar and everyone else at the hostel. All friendly and great people I met. You are all great people. I will be back. I've been traveling around the world for over a year now and this is my favourite hostel! Staff is above and beyond, the Co-owner even showing me Rosarito, a beautiful place just a short drive away (perfect for Tacos and beers!). The Jiu Jitsu classes hit the spot even for a bloody beginner as myself and Edgar was the kindest, most talented person to be teaching. The hostel is convenient for morning swims by the beach, good food and strolling. Add to that a clean and safe environment? Perfect.

When I entered Lifestyle Hostel at first I was sort of weirded out by the mix between Crosstraining, Jiujitzu, and a hostel. But after the first night, I felt super welcome, comfortable, and invited to take the classes offered by the very capable staff and felt a very warm sensation of being able to stay active while traveling in a city that otherwise doesn't have much to do in the day. Awesome project, coach David and Edgar were super friendly and made me feel super comfortable. Osu!

I had a great time in lifestyle hostel. Under one roof you don’t just find accomodation but also a BJJ gym (free classes) and a tattoo studio that create a versatile and distinct atmosphere. Everything is family owned by David and Emos, Davids son Ray runs the tattoo studio. The way they interact with each other and also with guests is not dependent on business but on kindness and candid care which i savvied a lot.

We ended up leaving Lifestyle and going to another hostel in Tijuana. The staff was lovely but the dormitory smelled like a sweaty locker room.

This place is a jujitsu center so be ready to hear horrible wrestling grovels and painful yells from fighting students until at-least 11pm. Also the hostel has bed bugs. The desk clerk must have been jacked up on heroine cuz he sat at his desk and blasted death metal at full volume right through our window until 11pm. Would definitely not stay here again.
