Hostelworld says

The 2kronor Hostel - Vasastan is in a charming house in the north city centre of Stockholm, in 'a lively area with tons of bars', as described by one Hostelworld guest. Our users often cite their appreciation for the 'safe and comfortable' and 'nice and calm' atmosphere of this hostel, as well as the 'friendly and helpful' staff. Security is tight at this hostel, with both security codes and key cards, while the hostel also features a spacious and well-equipped cellar kitchen. We particularly like the old stone staircase, which adds a nice rustic touch of character.

A lovely place with a good location and friendly staff. (A note about accessibility: As this is an old house, the stairs won't be accessible for everyone, and especially the kitchen in the basement is accessed by veeery steep stairs. This wasn't a problem for us at all, but it might be for others.)

There was a full kitchen which was very nice. When checking in, I was having troubles with my Debit card. The receptionist was very understanding and directed me to an ATM; she was very kind. Even though I was staying alone in a mixed dorm, I felt relatively safe and didn't have any problems. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely go there again.

In walking distance of the old city (like 30 mins), paid street parking available, fairly clean and really nice staff. Well equipped and clean kitchen. Rooms are a bit stuffy but most dorms are.

This place was so much better than I anticipated. The staff were super flexible and really kind and the facilities were super clean. The place is located only a 15 min walk to the city and is a very authentic experience in Stockholm. Would definitely recommend!

    Very Good

The location is good. The hostel is fine. The bed was good. But you have to share the facilities. That is fine, but you have to accept the fact that the toilets are not really as clean as you would want them to be ;)

I've stayed in this hostel a few times over the years. It's okay, good location and value for money. But this time they changed the locks on all doors during my stay. I was told I would receive an sms with instructions on where/how to find my new key card. I got back in the evening, my lock was changed, no staff was there, and 5 other guests were in the same situation. None of us could access our rooms. No one had received any info. Not OK! Eventually some man showed up and sorted it out.

I arrived on a friday night. I got directions how to get my keycard and such. When I tried opening my door, the keycard got accepted, but the door wouldnt open. I tried multiple times, but it seemed like the door was broken. I called the emergency number, and they said "there is another guest in the room, ask them to open the door. we cant help you." The weekend personnel wasnt very helpful. I also didnt know you had to tell the hostel you wanted linnen, so that first night wasnt fun at all.

I have few things to say about this hostel: 1. I had to pay 7 EUR for my bedsheets with 4 beds room price to be 50 EUR, this is unacceptable. I also couldn't find any information that I will have to pay something extra when I booked. 2. The hostel has a redicilous amount of rules 3. Completely unsuitable if you want to meet new people 4. Checkin and Checkout are selfservice, so if you arrive after 6PM and have no data on your mobile phone you're screwed.

Lilla Brunn Hostel says

We offer a lot of little extras to our guests and I think that makes all the difference. For instance, we've got free Wi-Fi, free coffee, tea and pasta in the kitchen, plus hair dryers and irons can be borrowed from reception. We also offer bike rental - we've got a number of Swedish army-type bikes for rent - the perfect way to explore Stockholm.
I think our location in Vasastan gives the guests a peek of local Stockholm as many of the city's best restaurants, shops and galleries are in Vasastan, away from the main tourist attractions. The famous city library Stadsbiblioteket is just a block away and Drottninggatan shopping street starts only 10 minutes' walk from here. I usually tell our guests to visit the restaurant Tranan; it's a good place to get a taste of Swedish food, with its genuine character and local clients. Later in the evening the bar on the basement floor is a waterhole for locals and a nice place to have a drink. The many small galleries around Vasastan are also worth visiting.
I'd say most of our guests are aged 25 and up. This certainly isn't a party hostel but it's great for meeting other people and relaxing after spending time in Stockholm. Peter, Owner/Manager
