    Superb

Fantastic stay! I have been in and out of this hostel during a month! Leaving for other destinations in Myanmar and always coming back to Lil Yangon Hostel... For its wonderful location, 10 min walk from Sule Pagoda, as well as for the super nice and profess staff. Was using the common kitchen every time needed to prepare my vegan meals. The female dormitory as well as the mixed one are well air conditioned, safe and quiet. Can only dream of coming back to the 39th Street... thx Donald!!

    Fabulous

Helpful staff. Great security. Breakfast was okay (what can I say I prefer traditional Burmese food) but free and can't really complain for 9$ night. I was happy to be kidnapped to be taken to the college for an English/Burmese language exchange. Very comfortable clean beds with nice privacy curtain. Would recommend to traveler looking for some downtime but also convenient location to explore Yangon. Will come back for future stays

    Fabulous

Nice place in a busy part of the city. There was a local staying in my room who didnt seem to understand basic dorm room etiquete such as stopping your alarm at 6am after an hour of it ringing!!! However, the beds were comfy, the staff nice and plenty of sociable backpacker types to talk with. Good place!

    Fabulous

Good place in good location, with free water and simple breakfast. Beds are comfortable and have curtains for privacy, personal light and international electric socket for which you don't need convertor. I would just add a little shelf to keep essentials like a phone and water bottle at night. And also add shelves and hooks into the showers, they are missing and everything has to be on the floor. Otherwise it's a great value for money. These two suggestions would just make it absolutely perfect

    Very Good

An old and rustic hostel tucked among rows of houses in the heart of Yangon. Bed allocation was mixed up as I booked an 8-bed dormitory but was given a 6-bed room. Cleanliness is poor with constant damp toilets and my room smelled. Good value-for-money and breakfast with free coffee and tea 24/7, though. Photos posted are rather deceiving relative to actual condition. Staff reception are mixed, OK with the junior ones but quite unwelcoming by the owner. It's up to your choice!

    Very Good

Was a good basic hostel. Had the necessities. Bathroom cleanliness was a bit questionable but the rooms were super nice. Overall a nice, simple hostel. If you’re looking for a hostel with opportunities to socialize, this may not be the best one for you. Really enjoyed my stay nonetheless and would recommend.

Bed bugs ruined it for me. Stayed there for one night for a group of 7. We had massive bed bugs on 3 of our beds. I would not stay here again.

The only positive things were the absolute helpfulness and availability of the hostel’s staff, and the beds which were actually quite comfortable. As for the rest, don’t let the pictures fool you. The hostel is dirty and smells bad basically everywhere. Bathrooms are in awful conditions - they should really renovate them or at least fix them up. As it is now, this hostel is barely worth the (very little) money it costs per night. I wouldn’t come back.

The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in it smelt as soon as you walked into there dorm lobby entrance the bathrooms were disgusting they smelt of pee the whole time there was only ever toilet paper in 1 toilet and they almost never cleaned them because there was pee everywhere on the floor. There was mould all over the floor walls and ceilings everywhere apart from in the room. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Don’t know how it was so highly rated. Worst way to start my trip to Myanmar
