Was one of the cutest hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Located right on the Loch Ness and is very Scottish Bach style. Very homey, very welcoming. Pay £4 and have your washing, wash, dried, folded and returned to you within a couple of hours. Kitchen was massive and can cook anything in there. Beds and rooms were clean and comfy. Would recommend

Great hostel with great views and a greater staff. Extremely friendly and helpful staff that made the stay here one of the best I’ve had at a hostel in recent memory.

This place was amazing. The view was incredible; it was set right next to the Loch, surrounded by wildflowers and pines. Inside was cosy and very comfortable, nice enough to stay in even if it's raining the whole day and you can't leave. The staff were incredible - everyone was so friendly and welcoming. My friend and I had a wonderful weekend here and I would not hesitate to return!

We loved this place so much we stayed an extra night. The shower had great water pressure and the beds had TWO pillows (very exciting in hostel jumping). Great sized kitchen to cook your own meals. The hangout area was very cozy with a fire place. Nothing like having your morning coffee overlooking the Loch Ness. Never wanted to leave. If you're not driving and you don't want to pay 60 pounds for a cab make sure you get to Inverness before the last bus leaves for the day.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in! Unique, quiet calming and remote cottage-like hostel on the side of the lake. Although, the bus stops literally right at the front door of the hostel to take you anywhere! Because there are no stores within walking distance, there is food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to buy at the front desk! Most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered and beautiful lakeside views from the rooms. Very clean and fresh as well. I’ll be back!!

While in a great location the Lochside Hostel was overpriced for what was offered. For the same price in equally popular Scottish locations we got an ensuite room with a kitchenette, but at this hostel we had a twin (bunk bed) room with a small shared bathroom and very thin walls. The kitchen and lounge facilities were very good, and the location right by the loch was lovely, but on the whole I've stayed in better hostels for cheaper.
