This was the most incredible hostel ever! Not only was it absolutely gorgeous and in an incredible location, but they went above and beyond for clients. Breakfast was eggs, bread, cereal & delicious coffee and was served and cleaned up for you by the staff. There was bike rentals so you can explore the surrounding area and gorgeous lake(s) as well as kayaks and canoes (I think). The staff pick you up and drop you off for free at the closest metro station and even woke up at 430am to drive us!

This hostel was super laid back and had great overall vibes. I think the location is worth the money because it is close enough to the city that the commute is only about 30 minutes to central station. The town it is located in is very nice and the locals were very friendly when I went for walks by the lake. Staff were also awesome and gave me recommendations for food, activities, and more. Will definitely have to come back!

A dreamy hostel, ideally located for me as I went to Amsterdam for a concert at Amsterdal Arena which is a couple of metro stops away. Quirky, welcoming and relaxing !

This was such a lovely place to stay! The location was great for those who appreciate the outdoors over city views. Great to bike around and look at. Unfortunately it was rainy so we couldn’t kayak at all, but it was still beautiful. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and the aesthetic here is obviously wonderful. Definitely would stay here again. Great vibe, cute place, great service.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Lucky Lake Hostel, we even extended our stay - if we ever find ourselves back in the Amsterdam area we will for sure be stopping here for a few nights! The caravans are cute, the bed was comfy, the staff was super hospitable, the location is beautiful, and it was awesome to spend so much time outdoors. Thanks for a great stay Lucky Lake!!

Amazing staff and incredible value for money. Location is beautiful, although a tad out of the way if you’re wanting to go to the city centre but they provide a free shuttle to the metro station which cuts down massively on costs. Overall a great place to stay and would return back in a heartbeat.

My self and a friend stayed at Lucky Lake for 2 nights and we loved it! We had a private caravan with a double bed and it was perfect. Everything was very clean and decorated with character. The facilities are very good and clean and the free breakfast was an added plus. The hostel is located out of the city centre but it’s easy to get into the city using the free shuttle bus and then metro. The shuttle bus was always perfectly on time and ran hourly. Lovely location and relaxing atmosphere.

    Very Good

Overall this place was brilliant in so many ways so I will summarise with only the negatives: * No vending machine * No ensuite - you're walking 30 seconds in the outdoors. I would pay £10-£20 more a night if it had a private wet room * Holes between roof joints in our room allowed Mosquitoes in while we slept. I am heavily allergic and came out in hives, which changed to open sores * Our room decor was horrible, I expected hippy/street art not my Nan's * The quilt had a stain * Bus full
