Right next to the metro, it’s exactly as any hotel. Except certain things being slightly dis functional, the shower door not fully closing, the head was stuck quite low down. It was worth the money and I’d go again.

The hostel is really close to the train station and Linate airport. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The staff are friendly. Be aware that you should bring your own lock and it should not be too thick otherwise it won’t fit.

This is common at Meininger, but in the 6-bed dorm there are two sets of bunks plus two beds placed side by side, which leaves someone sleeping next to a stranger just an arm's length away. I always found this layout awkward, and it was my only real complaint about the place. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the common areas were enjoyable. The location is a bit out from the city center, but there are restaurants within walking distance, along with the metro and bus stations.
