Machu Picchu Guesthouse and their staff are absolutely wonderful. When our train arrived 2 hours late, the receptionist quickly took our things to our room and directed us to the bus station so that we could make it to Machu Picchu on time and check in when we got back. They were super helpful. The water was hot, and the breakfast was a good start to the day. The whole staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

Clean and friendly staff. We spoke Spanish but I believe she could communicate in English, if needed. We were also able to take a shower the next day after check out for 15 soles (With a towel), post hiking and pre-train, which was a nice option to have. Overall, enjoyed our stay. Aguas Calientes is just more expensive than most places, so price was to be expected.

    Very Good

Nice spot in Aguas Calientes. Staff members were very nice and helped us get to/from the train and bus station. Good breakfast options too! Definitely suggest booking a tour through them for Machu Picchu - we had Miguel and he was INCREDIBLE. One of the best tour guides I've had. Rooms were a little small and could get a little noisy with the street being right next to our window but not too bad.

    Very Good

To be honest, the location of the hostel is good, though after a 12k walk between hidrelétrica and Machu picchu Pueblo you'd probably would like a lower location for a hostel. Staff is really nice, and the breakfast was all right. I just spend a night there, but as i walk inside the place and told them i was really in bad shape after a intestinal disease, they kindly offered me advice on the trip to the ruins. And that really helped.

The room I was put in is not pictured in any of their online photos. The smell of musk and mold was so strong in my room- the next morning my nostrils were stinging and I couldn’t stop sneezing. I found some other place to stay the next night.

I’ll start with the positive. The receptionist was pretty nice. They were nice enough to hold our bags while we went to Machu Picchu and let us lounge around in their lobby while we waited for our train WELL after checkout. The negative: in the late evening of our stay and in the morning, our suite smelled of sewage. The hostel is located at what seems to be at the very top of Aguas Calientes. After hiking from Hidroeléctrica and up to Machu Picchu, hiking up to the hostel sucks.
