Great location and great experience. Very clean, kitchen as well. Breakfast is limited to baguettes and jam, coffee and occasional tea. Bring your own towel and lock, lockers are small and made of light pressboard; someone with bad intentions could tear the door off easily. Good WiFi, staff friendly and with enough English to be helpful. Great stay!

Staff and guest very friendly and helpful to Papette novices. Breakfast setup was early - useful for a quick start of the day, an apparent neccessity in the tropics. Not the only gray hair guest - adding to the comfortable setting.

New hostel. So all furniture, beds etc are new. There is only a microwave so you can't really cook anything. Good location, you can walk to the airport big supermarket 2min down the road. The woman looking after the hostel is really nice and friendly. Not many people when I was there and I think it is more a Airbnb than a hostel. But would definitely go back over there.

Great location just next to the waterfront roulottes, the market, and the port. Slightly sterile vibe; some rooms have no natural light; but the upside of this is there aren't any bugs and it's very clean! Wifi is fast in the lounge area, showers are hot, full kitchen available. There are lockers and a door code, but rooms themselves aren't locked. A great place to meet other solo/budget travelers from all over the world, and a great starting point for a stay in Tahiti.

I gave staff a mediocre rating because there was one very nice and helpful staff member, and two others who just seemed very indifferent to guests and didn't want to help or answer questions. The hostel is nice, is a short walk to the ferry terminal, and is the most affordable place to stay in Tahiti.

Good place, even better location, especially if you are catching the ferry to Moorea (8 min. walk). This place is located right downtown. Papeete folds up fairly early. By 6 P.M. the town is dead, so don't expect much night live. The best bargain for dinner (if your not cooking at the lodge) is going across the street and eating from one of the numerous food trucks. Great food. Expect to drop around $13 USD for dinner. Portions are huge. One order can easily feed to people.

Don’t book private rooms. The walls are so thin that you here everything from neighbors.

It is a good place location-wise, and for $60 we got a private room (no windows) with A/C. I booked this hostel instead of another accommodation in order to have a social aspect, and in that regard it was not well set up. The breakfast was baguettes and jams only, although I did like the drip coffee. The staff were very helpful. I don't think I would stay here given the chance again--I would probably try to find a guesthouse or an AirBnb and maybe have a window or a communal location.
