Mama Bau’s sumit lodge just makes you feel like you are at home. She’s always quick with our food orders. And checking if everything is okay. She feels like a second mother while her and her family are taking care of everything. I planned to stay 1 night and ended up staying 5. I meet some amazing people and saw some beautiful things. Its a place with a wonderful view and Family dinner is just the GOODS. Definitely coming back for a visit next time im in Vietnam.

Mama Bau and her family were super welcoming and we had a great stay. It is far out of town, so would only recommend coming here if you are trekking. If you are only interested in the cable car and climbing Fansipan then this place is a bit far and an extra cost of entering the national park of 75k Dong per person is required. Overall the family was amazing and couldn’t help enough, making food late at night and organising taxis. Thanks!

Mama is very helpful and friendly to everyone. Always willing to help, and assisted me and my friends with a lot of our needs. 10/10 would come here again if I am coming to Sapa again. View is good as well.

Lovely, homely lodge up in the mountains. Perfect location if you want to experience village life, far out from sapa town, perfect for hiking trips. Mamma is amazing and so is the rest of the staff. Don't miss out on the family meal-sensational! We felt like we were properly with the family. Not that secure hut didn't need to be due to the small village atmosphere. Social and friendly with other travellers, however for one night it did end up just being us. We recommend!!

    Very Good

Unfortunately Mama Bau is pregnant and was having difficulties so she wasn’t there much and didn’t have anyone to stand in. This meant we were left alone with her children who don’t speak English. She was lovely when we did see her and the other guests were very nice but it was not really the homestay experience we were expecting. I hope she gets better soon and don’t think our stay was a true reflection of the place.

Not quite sure why this place is so massively over rated. We barely got a welcome on our arrival. We were just shown to our room and told nothing else. All of the nearby restaurants aren't open so the only option was to order food at the homestay. The only way I can describe what I received was plain friend rice laying in about 8 tablespoons of oil... I couldn't eat it and they didn't even ask why or seem to care. We left the next morning and found a lovely place in the next village.
