Had a great stay here, was very basic but I felt very welcomed and was great value for money. I had a lot of fun learning card games and drinking Cava and the sunsets on the beach were out of this world!

Simple but great backpacking place. There are a few options for daytrips, a small shop and snorkling gear to rent. Food is included, although the portions are on the smaller side, and the staff is very friendly. Good for both partying and relaxing.

Very simple place with basic amenities but great hospitality. They entertain guests with lot of in-house activities like snorkeling, volleyballs, jewellery making , fire dance and so on . Loved the 2 days I spent here

    Very Good

Overall a good experience but the areas they weren’t as good were pretty unacceptable. They forgot to pick us up with the boat, then tried to make us take the main boat that costs double (we wouldn’t have gone if we had to pay that) to get there. Eventually got us, but only after we threatened to cancel. Also our “vegetarian” meal options had meat twice. Cheapest way to get to the Mamanucas and extremely beautiful so overall recommend. Cheap amazing snorkeling too

    Good

The place is basic and a bit run down e.g. the doors to the toilet and shower wouldn't close. I had my onward accommodation booked from here. What was supposed to be a dorm turned out to be a tent, so I was misled.

Did not give me the room I booked. The dorm room isn't a real room and is only separated from main lodgings by a curtain. Food wad extremely basic. No electricity or hot water. Beautiful island with many activities to do. Friendly family and staff who run it though. They organized activities like a medicinal plant walk, beach volleyball, kava drinking and evening games. Beautiful island to watch the sunset.

This hostel needs to get lockers for guests. The building was under construction during my stay so wasn't very peaceful. Staff are friendly and it's located right on the beach. Pity you get followed by security guards from the resorts on several other beaches on the island. The food was ok, though I would have preferred a healthier breakfast than fried bread every day.

When we got there they were still building our beds, one of the people from our group still didn't have a bed once they had finished so he ended up sleeping on a camp bed, then luckily we got moved to a better room the night after, the food was average, always cold but not much variety for vegetarians. We got messed around with our trip to cloud 9 because they forgot to ring to see if it was available and then tried to charge us twice for it. Overall it was an average stay.

We were victims of a scam there as we asked the hotel manger to book 2 hotels and boat transfers for us. He said he did so, gave us vouchers and made us pay 410$FDJ as a deposit. We realised later that he didn’t book anything and when we showed up at our hotels, both of them didn’t have our reservation and the last one was even closed for renovations! We feel highly disappointed and robbed by that man and we reported him to the police. We strongly recommend you to stay away from Mana Lagoon!
