Very nice historical place with a good common area with good atmosphere. AND you sleep in those cubicle bunks so you have all the privacy in the world. Staff also super great and helpful

I stayed at Masaya for two nights and enjoyed my stay. I was in a 6 bed mixed dorm, and the beds were perfect for actually getting some sleep. The room had a privacy curtain, bed locker/shelf, and they had luscious comforters and fluffy pillows. The showers were nice and hot, and the vibe of the hostel was chill. A great place to rest and relax.

The hostel is in a very good location, and every staff member I encountered was super nice and helpful. The shower had very warm water which I appreciate a lot. The breakfast was also delicious. I would so return to this hostel

Very nice looking hostel, I especially loved the common area for chilling. I did not really like the kitchen facillities though, they were not that clean and there was not a lot available.

Great location and has historic charm to it. Quarters are small, and no other amenities besides kitchen and workspa e/courtyeards compared to other masaya locations

    Very Good

    20 Apr 2022
Great location, absolutely awesome shower (best one in a while), good dorms. But beers and food quite expensive. And mostly, no atmosphere. The magnetic cards, cameras everywhere and absurd rules like no smoking in the (outside) terraces probably don't contribute to make people want to chill and hang out. Ended up switching hostel in the end, because of this.

I have stayed at Masaya Bogota twice and my first experience was much better. This time, when I arriver I was put in a room that had lockers but no place to put a lock. Also, in my previous room each bed had a curtain while here there was absolutely nothing for privacy. At least the woman at the front desk was great as were those that worked in the kitchen..
