Save your cash for the local bar and music scene by tucking into our free daily breakfast – we serve pancakes on Sunday mornings! We also regularly organise fun activities like BBQ nights and free sangria on Fridays, and movie nights in our common room with free popcorn, so there are always opportunities to meet people. Location

Just a short walk from Southern Cross Station, we're located on the corner of Little Bourke and King Street in the Melbourne CBD. The Airport Skybus will drop you at the station in 20 minutes from Tullamarine Airport, and in 35 minutes from Avalon Airport. The iconic Flinders Street train station is only a 15-minute walk away, and you’ll find trams running up neighbouring Bourke Street that can drop you at Swanston Street, where you can explore the famous laneway bars.

Rooms and Dorms

Our rooms are kept fresh and cool with air con in summer, and come with free linen, including blankets for cold winter nights. We have female-only or mixed dorms, or private singles, doubles and triples for friends and couples travelling together. All are brightly and cheerfully painted, with large storage lockers and personal reading lights. The bathrooms located on each floor are shared, and are cleaned daily.

Extras and activities

Our large communal kitchen is open 24 hours a day, with a central gas stove that fits up to eight pans. Make a family-style meal for your fellow travellers before you head out (ideal for making foodie friends!), or grab a midnight snack after a night on the town. You can store your bags in our luggage area after check-out – just in time for a final trip to Melbourne's world-class shopping arcades before you head to the station.

For me this accommodation was adequate, cheap, in an ideal location to see the central part of Melbourne for two days. I was allowed to leave my luggage before check in time and enjoyed a free communal dinner one night. Tea and coffee available all day and breakfast included. A little threadbare, but adequate.

Nice place to stay - breakfast included which is always nice and free tea and coffee throughout the day. I couldnt Find a can opener but other than that the kitchen is pretty good. Bedrooms are fine but lockers are a bit odd.

    Very Good

Hostel was okay. The male bathroom on the top floor was very outdated and if someone was taking a shower the whole floor of the bathroom was wet. The days when I visited the place it was cold outside however the hostel kept running the Air con throughout the day and night which I didnt understand. Staff was nice.

The staff were rude upon my arrival , great first impressions of the place. Poor facilities , it seems it’s a working hostel so everyone has been there for a long time so the atmosphere is bad.
