This is a good hostel, the kitchen is a pretty decent size with plenty of space to sit and eat, check in was easy, pretty clean shower and toilets. Rooms could get stuffy in the summer and they are fairly small with only a window and a fan. While we stayed there the Wi-Fi was free throughout the whole hostel. Location was ok, while not far from the CBD it was outside the free tram zone, but only a 10 minute walk to Victoria market, and a 25 minute walk to Swanson street.

Kitchen far too small. Almost no work surface space so had to try and prepare food on the draining boards. Washing up not done. Woukd suggest having salads to avoid the problem. Rooms fine. Great location and helpful staff.

Friendly staff, clean room and bathrooms. Located just one tram stop outside of free tram zone (but you can actually see stop inside the free tram zone from nearest tram stop, it's just couple more minutes to walk to catch free tram). Nice location just outside of busy center.

Advantages : good kitchen, Clean hostel, many people to meet. Not so expensive.. rooftop that you can chill.. Disadvantages: not the best location. No AC in the rooms. Just one plug in the 6 beds dorms. Wifi not so good and you can use it just for one device (or you need to pay for premium version)

Pleasant stay, and comfortable time. Rooms are nice and clean, although the bathrooms are a little dirty. The location is great, just a five minute walk away from the market. Saw quite a few families with children, so seems like a good spot for families.

    Very Good

Had a great stay. Only one problem and that was with the lift not working throughout my stay. Very hard on the stairwell with luggage.

Not the greatest of hostels. Clean enough in the rooms, the kitchen needs to be twice the size at least for the amount of rooms they have and they should have twice the amount of food storage spaces. The rooms are out dated but bathrooms are nice. It's a bit outside of Melbourne so good for a quiet stay and there is a free tram that goes from just down the road straight into the centre, takes about 10 minutes

Location was a bit outside CBD but only a few blocks to the free tram. Kitchen is not large enough - always a wait and always dirty. When the kitchen ran out of dish soap and I told the front desk she said oh it’s ok it will be refilled when they clean in 2 hours. That’s just asking for dirty dishes to pile up or for people to just rinse them, not wash them, and put them back. People could get sick that way! Also free WiFi was not working during evenings - I assume too many trying to use it then
