Was only here for one night but this is my hostel of choice for Melbs. Lovely and central (but without the traffic/tram noise), lovely rooms and facilities, such as lovely bathroom. Very near to free tram zone and Queen Vic Market. If I ever need a hostel in Melbs again this is my one of choice.

This is a good hostel, the kitchen is a pretty decent size with plenty of space to sit and eat, check in was easy, pretty clean shower and toilets. Rooms could get stuffy in the summer and they are fairly small with only a window and a fan. While we stayed there the Wi-Fi was free throughout the whole hostel. Location was ok, while not far from the CBD it was outside the free tram zone, but only a 10 minute walk to Victoria market, and a 25 minute walk to Swanson street.

I stayed in this hostel for 2 weeks when I first arrived in Australia. The place has a great atmosphere and a really friendly staff. It was always really crowded, which is good and bad. The location was just ok to me, the closest store of any kind, besides a coffee shop is a 10 minute walk, or a tram ride into the city. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are just ok, but no major problems.

Pleasant stay, and comfortable time. Rooms are nice and clean, although the bathrooms are a little dirty. The location is great, just a five minute walk away from the market. Saw quite a few families with children, so seems like a good spot for families.

    Very Good

This isn’t the best hostel I’ve stayed in but it’s also not the worst. The bedrooms feel cramped and there’s barely any room to move and there wasn’t enough plugs for everyone. Some rooms had a USB port by every bed but others didn’t which I don’t really understand not all do. There is a big kitchen with lots of storage for food and plenty of bathrooms and the place was cleaned every day which was good. I feel like the common areas aren’t the most comfortable though for meeting people.

Bedbugs and a rude staff member. But activities every night and free bbqs and wine so can’t go wrong.

Was a pretty grim hostel, the room was tiny (8 person) also the first thing I saw was vomit on the fall of the bathroom looked like it had been there for a few hours, not a good atmosphere when I went into the room no one spoke and there was a massive age range from kids to elderly people so bit of a shame really. Was quite out of the way of the city as well so wasn’t ideal. Staff were nice though, all smiled a lot and very attentive. But overall I definitely wouldn’t stay in this hostel again.
