We loved our stay at Miku’s. Being able to live alongside Miku and her family was great - we loved joining in on the delicious family dinners and meeting other travellers too! They were able to organise a trek, taxis to Sapa and a bus for us to Ninh Binh! Great value and an amazing place to stay near Sapa! Beautiful scenery!

Miku and her family are so lovely. Her mom leads the daily treks. Definitely do the family dinners - they are delicious! Her home is in the middle of Ta Van village. They were able to coordinate taxis to and from Sapa as well as a bus back to Hanoi. I would stay here again and again! 100% recommend!!

Had a really great time at Miku's homestay. The family meals were amazing and the full day hike with Miku's mother was fun and challenging. A lot of energetic children are running around all day and dogs come and go. It felt like a very authentic experience. Thank you Miku!

    Fabulous

Our stay at MiKu Chill House was amazing. The family who runs it is very sweet and will do anything to help you. The house itself is a nice place. We stayed in the 10-bed dorm, which is at the attic of the house with mattresses on the floor. Breakfast is great and freshly made. We also joined the Family Dinner, which was the best Vietnamese food I've had so far. There are a lot of dogs running around the house, so you definitely have to like dogs when you come here.

    Fabulous

MiKu Chill House is a great place to stay outside of Sapa itself. It has a good communal atmosphere. My private room bed was very hard. Staff are very helpful regarding tours/bus tickets/taxis etc. I did the half day tour with Miku’s Mother, it was a nice walk. Unfortunately they are building next door, so there was a bit of noise, and drinks are more expensive than other hostels. Overall a nice, relaxing stay.

    Very Good

The dorm area is upstairs and consists of many beds on the ground. Would be nice to have mosquito nets as well as sheet (paired with the duvet)- everyone was waking up in a pool of their own sweat because the duvets were really hot. Good otherwise.

This is very much so a homestay, so if you're looking for an authentic experience at a fair price, this is definitely a fine option. However, the family wasn't very engaging with the guests, which is a shame really. More engagement could've made it a great experience.

    Good

I’ll start by saying that my stay was really tainted by my experience on the trek. We were told lunch was included, but before we could eat we were forced to purchase something from local artisans. Once we shelled out money, the restaurant took our order (chicken or pork) and served us some bland fried rice. Miku’s place was okay given where we were. Miku is nice, but it really felt like we were cash cows. Don’t expect peace and quiet. Beautiful scenery even in rainy season.
