My wife and I really enjoyed our experience staying here. Hiroshi was an unbelievably great host. He made sure my wife and I knew all the great areas of town, including maps and a discount to the local hot springs. He even drove my wife and I back to the bus station when our stay was done. The room is adherent to traditional Japanese beds (tatami) and eating area. This is great if you are interested in experiencing true Japanese culture. Overall, I’d recommend this place to other travelers!!

Hiroshi was a fantastic host! He provided everything we needed and suggested great restaurants to try out. We arrived a day earlier then expected and he had no problem accommodating us, and on the last day he gave us a ride back to the bus station.

I stayed here with a friend for 2 nights. It was was a lovely experience. The host was incredibly kind. He offered lifts to and from the station and organised discounts to near by onsens. The house is easy to get to from Kawaguchico station and a good base to explore the 5 lakes. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a more traditional accommodation/ experience!!

Host was very friendly and helpful. Hostel was lovely, tatami rooms with futons, however, only has one shower room for all guests, wasn't an issue for us as we chose a quiet time but if it was busy it could have been an issue
