Nice place to stay - Great value for money. Water could be a little warmer. It's an older building, so plenty of character, but hard to be quite during late hours when the wooden floor is squeaking.

    Very Good

Good location, but unfortunately they had just sealed the floors in our room right before we arrived, which resulted in an unpleasant stay for us. It was impossible to air out the room as there were no windows, and the chemicals aggravated my air passageways to the point where I woke up coughing several times a night. We also had a bathroom that was without toilet paper one day because they didn't remember to restock it when we asked. It was also a fairly loud hostel all things considered.

bad things first: the rooms are not very clean (hair and dust on the floors), the staff has no clue about traveling in Ecuador (couldn’t help me how to get to Cajas or to rio bamba afterwards) and the organization is not good (I had to move my room spontaneously cause they mixed something up) still the Hostel is not a bad place to stay - location is great, beds are clean and the other travelers are friendly :-)

Really nice first impression. But it went downhill. Room was spacious but dark and basic. Shared bathrooms were simply not good enough to account for all guests (we had to ask the reception to clean one in the evening because it was disgusting). Squeaky floors and echoing corridors made it a very unpleasant stay overall. Stay if you want cheap.

The hostel bathrooms and the floors in general are very dirty. The staff didn‘t know anything about activities, not even how to get to Cajas NP. No lockers in the room and in bad weather it is very very cold in the rooms. My friend gave them her laundry in the evening and the next day it was still dirty and nothing was done with it.
