Stayed with my son as a stop off on the Great Glen Way. Brilliant and helpful staff. Allowed us to drop out baggage before our room was ready (which was amazing!) sadly no food on the Monday night but the kitchen was well equipped so I cooked. The hostel was quiet and comfortable and the bar was well stocked! Would 100% return to Morag’s lodge. If possible stay longer next time!

Great hostel. Warm rooms, nice self-catering kitchen, good quality bedding and towels. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Quiet in the off season, but TBH it's great to see places still open in the winter! Thanks for a great stay.

We only stayed the night - which we got in late and left early, but what we experienced was a clean, spacious room with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with a shower with good water pressure. It is within walking distance of the town (5 minutes) - but be sure to get to the restaurants early - before 8:00 or the kitchens may be closed. just a basic cereal breakfast and coffee/tea was ok, especially for the price. Overall, a very nice place.

One of the cleanest hostels I have been. And as fort Augustus isn't a very big town the location of the hostel is great as everything is walking distance. An other very big + is that the hostel has it's own parking. The hostel has a nice bar what could be a very fun place to hang out in. But it obviously depends on the rest of the guests. During my stay the other guests were mostly families with young childeren wich turned the place more in to a playground then a bar.
