We didn't deal with any staff members. However had a great stay. I had been once before and had a great party in the bar. However this time is the off season. Not much happening. But a great place to escape the big citys.

Stayed one night short notice. There was a party/toga thing going on in the bar, but it was quiet by 2200. The shared bathrooms are in each room which is interesting. Bed was comfortable, the location is wonderful with a beautiful view from the hill. Cash only at bar. Very clean. Had to pay for breakfast which I was not impressed about, for already paying 25+ for a top bunk. Nonetheless, I would stay again, but book in advance to save money. No Nessie sighting this time either.

It was great for us. We could relax in the pub and catch up on emails with the other guests. We felt comfortable being there. The one thing we found was that you could hear doors in the halls closing during the night.

A nice hostel in Fort Augustus. I enjoyed my stay, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and it well signposted so its easy to find. However, it is pretty expensive especially considering towels and breakfast are additional costs. The hostel is also pretty loud and seems to cater to a younger party crowd generally so if you're looking for somewhere to relax after a days walking or cycling it maybe isn't the best place for you.

I went down to have a coffee from the 24 hour kitchen and found people asleep on all the sofas with duvets over them leaving me no where to sit at 5am. The majority of the staff were nice and helpful and gave good tips on the area and amenities in the hostel as well as the boat tours etc. The bar is open till 1am and there is entertainment each night, I went to bed after the entertainment as guests and off duty staff got drunk . Overall it’s a nice place in a lovely town.
