From the moment I arrived at the hostel, I was greeted by exceptionally, nice people. Check in was a breeze. I stayed in a female dormitory and met very nice people from all parts of the US. The bathrooms were clean, mattresses were great for a good night's rest. It is close to the rail runner train station which connects you to different towns in New Mexico. The hostel is also located near the historic route 66 hence the name motherroad. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller and will rec

My friend and I stayed in the female dorm and were pleased to find it quiet, clean, and super comfy! The staff take extra measures to ensure the property is secure . There is a lot just for Mother Road directly behind the hostel. There aren't a ton of spots, but I always came back to an open spot. I scoped out the street parking as well and didn't think it would be far if I did have to street park. We were able to walk to a lot of our destinations from the hostel. Thank you all for a great stay!

I had such a wonderful time at the Mother Road hostel. The staff are fabulous and so caring and genuine. I met incredible people in the hostel and we shared an amazing night playing music and talking about travelling. The food in the area is also great. Check out El Modelo and Barela’s! Great tamales and soapaillas!

    Very Good

Room was listed as a 4-person dorm, but it was more like an 8-person due to two rooms being open air connected. Staff was friendly. Place is a bit creaky, floorboards, doors, beds. Very homey feel. Satisfying breakfast, and kitchen and coffee available.

I enjoyed the comfy outdoor seating, the free parking and the location.Problems: it takes 75 minutes (!!!) to check in, we have to sign a form that if anything of the linen (like a 8$ towel) is lost, we'll be charged 100$. They tried to overcharge me although this seemed a genuine mistake (they apologized).Showers are full of mold and calcium buildup. Taps are dripping. Lack of maintenance, general carelessness of staff. There are many cheaper and perfectly clean hostels so price isn't an excuse
