This is exactly what I was looking for. I came for one night and ended up stay three. I have a car and drove to Byron yesterday, but left this morning and am cruising around mullumbimby, and I know tonight I m going back to murwillumbah and stay here. People come here mostly to climb mount warning but it’s the perfect spot to hang out and explore. Lots to do around the area, waterfalls and national parks like spring brook and natural bridge .

This is almost exactly what I was looking for. Something simple and off the beaten path after several days on the Gold Coast. I was looking to explore the nearby national parks and did just that (and hiked Mt. Warning in the process) The hostel itself is beautifully situated on the river and provides for an incredibly relaxing evening. I spent 3 nights and met a total of 5 different people, so it’s very quiet. Security is fine, no AC but was alright, and kitchen has everything you’d need.

Tazzy, the hostel owner made me feel so welcome. Like family. He invited me out 'rock n roll' dancing and gave me a ride to the art gallery. Awesome human and I will return again to hang out with him. Thank you!!!

    Very Good

I stayed at this hostel so that I could climb mount warning for sunrise, the location is perfect for that. Bring a solo traveler I was hoping that by staying at the hostel I could arrange the climb through them or find other travelers doing the same hike. Unfortunately there were only two of us staying in the hostel and no trips organized by the hostel. The hostel was not the cleanest but the owner was lovely!

When I arrived at the hostel there was nobody to check me in or show me around, my key was just tapped to the window which anybody could have taken. Hostel had no atmosphere & was like a ghost town, it was like it had been abandoned. As a young women I did not feel safe at all staying at the hostel as there was no security, anybody could have easily walked in. I spoke to one women from reception who was unhelpful & not welcoming. I felt so unsafe that I only stayed 1 out of my 2 nights.
