My friends and I stayed at Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's for two nights. I notified them ahead of time that we would arrive fairly late at 11:30 p.m. and they were very accommodating. The hostel is very close to the station as well as the convenient store. The hostel itself was very clean especially the restrooms and showers. My friends and I stayed in a group tatami Japanese style room where they provided comfortable futons to sleep in. I love how this hostel felt like a home away from home.

Cleanliness of the hostel is definitely up to standards. I have chosen to stay in the common dorms which are pretty cozy. Location of the hostel is within walking distance from the nearest train station. There is a restaurant within the same building if you'd like to get food. However, if you are looking for fancy restaurants or bars, you might need to find another location as the vicinity does not have any of the above and most shops closes early. Highly recommended! Thank you.

The place is very close to ways to bus up to climb Mt. Fuji. The staff is kind and was very helpful in accommodating my friend and I for parking (we had a car and drove in). The beds were clean and rooms a comfortable temperature. They also lock the doors at 22:00 which makes the security higher and compensates for the lack of lock boxes. The only thing I noticed was that the towel situation was a little confusing, and we used extra sets of clothes to dry off in the morning after showers.

The hotel was extraordinarily charming. Both the staff and the accommodations were great, and they even upgraded my room since I was the only one staying there. Through all their communications and their demeanor it was clear that this is a charming hotel run by genuine people who really care about their guests and the business they're doing. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

    Very Good

Hostel location isn't very well-equipped with eateries since Fuji Stn is much quieter compared to Kawaguchi Station. Nearest 7-11 is about 15 minutes walk away. Cleanliness is well-maintained by the in-house keepers. However, if you are looking for a place to stay for a night before or after your hike up to Fuji-san, I'd highly recommend this as it is really quiet. You will definitely be able to get as much rest needed. You will be able to see Mt-Fuji from the back end windows on a clear day!
