I had a great stay here. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. My friend and I ended up having to move rooms, and they were super helpful with the whole thing. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in New York.

Great location if you’re looking for a hostel that at the heart of the Bushwick scene in Brooklyn. Walking distance from restaurants, bars, and vintage stores. Easy access to the L train which will get you to Manhattan in 30 minutes or less. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Definitely recommended and will be back in the future.

Great location in a upcoming area of Brooklyn. Nice bars, clubs, thrift shops, cafes/breakfast places around. Subway stations (L, M, J) to Manhattan at walking distance (about 30 minutes journey). Welcoming staff, clean private bedroom.

The staff were excellent. I loved the location as it was close to the subway, markets, and cheap eats. You can go wrong with this place.

I enjoyed my stay, great and helpful people at the front desk, I worked in hotels for 40 years and found your hostel to be well run, this was my first time at a hostel ( I'm 67 ) and it was cool. I think the location is wonderful, very cool neighborhood with very good places to eat and drink, Google suggests using the Montrose Subway stop, but the Morgan stop is superior in every way. The beds are a little short as I'm 6'1, I think the front desk forgot to tell me about the locked cabinet. Great

Nice and spacious rooms. Also the common areas are quite large. A bit expensive, but that's more because it's New York, and not really specific for the hostel. I met some nice people and had a great stay.

This hostel was great! Lots of amenities (well stocked lounge, free coffee/tea, library). It's located pretty deep inside Brooklyn, so it takes about 30-35 to get into Manhattan (via the Subway) but its very easy to navigate. The hostel itself doesn't host many social events, however they have a board that has suggestions on things to do in the area. The only downside was that the beds/pillows could have been a little more comfortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

The area is terrible. It used to be one of the worst areas in Brooklyn with crime, drugs, rapes, and murders. You can see just one block away all the housing projects. There are 5-7 buildings of low-income housing projects, which means there is a lot of crime there. Whose idea was it to try to gentrify this area by turning this low-income apt building into a youth hostel? The staff are weird. There was one Caucasian man who I saw in the evening and he was lovely. That is all.
