Stayed in this hostel for two nights while travelling around Japan. I couldn't choose better one! Location is super close to city centre. Rooms were super clean and whole hostel had cost vibe. But the best were the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful with many tips what to see, where to eat and what to do. Definitely staying there on my other trip to Nagasaki.

I stayed here with two friends, and this hostel had everything we could have wanted! The staff were so friendly, the rooms and facilities were clean and easy to use, and the location was absolutely perfect! We were in walking distance from most major sights in Nagasaki, and that walking distance is gorgeous along the Nakashima River. Walking to other sights along the river was an experience on its own! I can't recommend this hostel enough. I will definitely be back in the future.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Facilities were nice and clean. The location is the only minor downside as it’s tucked away from the main area and major attractions but it’s easy to navigate with the trams.

It is a basic hostel for an ok price, nothing extra. Not a lot of travellers go far south, don't expect the hostel be too crowded. Very friendly people working there, and helpful.

We had a nice stay in Nagasaki due in part to the Akari hostel. The staff were very kind and helpful with several suggestions on things to do in the city. This is definitely a “hostel” so don’t expect many fancy amenities or anything like that! If you’re looking for a place to sleep in a good location this is a good choice.
