Property Description

Nap Hostel Pecs is located in the main pedestrian street of the historic city centre. The hostel can be found in a building of eclectic architecture built in 1885. The rooms are spacious and colourful, the bathrooms are modern and there is a fully equipped kitchen for you to use. From the balcony, you can have a beautiful panoramic view of the whole city and of the Mecsek Mountains.

We are greatly concerned about the natural environment and sustainability issues, which are reflected in the way we constructed the hostel and in our everyday practises. Our staff speaks several languages and is willing to help you in planning sightseeing tours, visiting cultural events, and can recommend hiking routs to the mountains.

Pécs is holding the title European Capital of Culture in 2010, and there are numerous festivals, concerts and other cultural events in the whole year. The staff can give you up-to-date and detailed information on everything happening in the city.

The reception opens between 1 PM-8PM so you can check-in this time. When you arrive at the Hostel first go to the bar Nappali (just right under the Nap Hostel) and let the bar staff know you here. They will help you go into the hostel.
If you want to check-in after 8 PM you MUST inform the staff in advance (call: +36302522972) otherwise we can't take your reservation. View House Rules

A quite place in the heart of the most beautiful city of Hungary. Zsófi is a communicative and very kind receptionist with a good sense of humor. She gave me useful informations about the city and the sighseeings. Good localization - you are in 3 minutes at the main square. Everything is very close. I highly recommend Nap Hostel, if you are planning to visit Pécs, the most mediterranean city of Hungary!

Great place to stay. Convenient location on main walking street. As previous reviews have mentioned no lockers. I had the whole hostel to myself for 2 nights and so security wasn’t really an issue. Rafi was helpful and easy to deal with. As far as atmosphere, I thought it was great because I like it quiet. The bar downstairs seems to be a pretty popular place and I stayed during their slower evenings. So if you are looking for a lot of people instead of quiet, it is still a excellent choice.

I was in Pécs when the city was fairly quiet, and the hostel was pretty empty. Despite all that, I had a great stay at the Nap Hostel. Rafi was incredibly helpful and gave awesome recommendations. The bar downstairs is it a great spot to hang out at night.

I booked a room in the dorm but there were a lot of students the day I checked in and I was upgraded to a massive room with its own bathroom. Though the room was a little dusty, it was clean otherwise and everything worked very well. The staff was extremely helpful and had a lot of good suggestions about what to see/ where to eat and even had a discount on the restaurant they recommended. The location is perfect because you're right in the centre of the town and e

A Good hostel but not the best. The best hostel in Pecs though. The location is central and you get what you paid for. This place has most of the facilities such as kitchen, towels for borrowing, place to wash clothes. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The only problem i would have with this place is security. No lockers are available. They can easily solve this problem but have not.

Cheap hostel. Could be cleaner (stuff all over the kitchen for the duration of my stay). No lockers in rooms. Was alright for 1 night.

    Very Good

The owner is a great guy and gives you good advice on what to do! However, there was not a lot going on at the hostel, which makes it hard to socialise. Also, it got super warm in the rooms. The bar downstairs made it hard to open the windows though.

The owner was very nice and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. BUT the hostel is poorly situated above a bar where it gets very noisy at night and smoke comes into the room from the windows. There is no air condition or fans so you need the windows open for air circulation but you get smoke at the same time from downstairs. The facilities could have been cleaner as there was dust all over the place.

Central location that can get quite noisy at night. Also humid in the room, the rooms need fans and lockers which are not there. I was charged for city tax even though in my booking it says all taxes ARE included! Bus #44 that is described in directions how to get there not working at the moment, since the road is closed. So walk or take other buses The usual hostel atmosphere is not there. The reception is ONLY from 1: 00pm to 8:00pm.
