Best hostel I've stayed in. It has the vibe and sophistication of a hotel, you just need to share a room with someone. For example, Dave Chappell was in the bar drinking one night that I stayed there, not many 'hostels' could say that! Clean, cool and perfectly located between East 6th, Dirty 6th and Rainey st. Only criticism is that your rooms are really dark for some reason, would be good to put a dial on the dimmer so you can turn it up if you need! I will be back.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at. Right in the middle of E. 6th, Rainy and 6th street bars. The bar is packed on thursdays with locals.

My stay at Native was phenomenal! I was in town for Austin City Limits and am so glad I chose to stay here. The staff is friendly, the lodgings are modern and actually felt luxurious, which is impressive for a hostel. The location makes it a good base to explore the rest of the city. I definitely recommend taking advantage of electric scooters or bikes to get around! The Tito’s welcome gift was a small gesture that goes a long way. Overall, an excellent stay that I’d certainly return to!

Pros: Very cool space. Awesome coffee shop. Nice common area with a guitar. Breakfast included. Bar at night (which is frequently mostly by locals, not hostel guests). Free parking lot. Great location for hanging out on the East side & Rainey & 6th. Cons: just one and it’s a big one - The bar plays loud music most nights until 2am. I was in the front room and even with good earplugs, it was really loud. As long as you’re aware of this, you’ll have a great time. Just be out til 2am :)

Great location. Its quieter than I thought it would be with the night club attached. It was fun being able to go to the night club on a chilly night without needing to bring a jacket. The rear keyed enterance was key to avoid the night club when you wanted to get out quickly. The outside art around the building was a solid extra touch that made you feel the true austin vibe. I would recommend the place and return. Do bring earplugs to sleep as in any hostel.

The hostel itself was quite nice. It was very clean and the staff were all helpful and friendly. But whoever thought attaching a hostel to a bar didn’t think it through. The bar is very loud and club-like with DJs playing extremely loud music with a lot of bass until slightly after 2:00 AM. That would be ok if the hostel was soundproofed...but it’s not. It’s a fun idea if you’re in town to party, but if you want to sleep or need to get up early DON’T GO HERE.

(-) Air Conditioner didn't work on my last night, the only staff that was there couldn't do anything about that. It was horrible. People were randomly picked to get a better bed in each room (King size compared to bunk beds), although they pay them same as you. Toilets didn't function well, and it took time until somebody came to fix them. Some of the staff were not nice or professional and i'll sum up with that... Breakfast was poor. (+) Rooms are clean, parties & bar are cool. Kitchen is nice
