Native Hostel is an absolute gem of a hostel, like no other. I actually wished I had stayed here for longer! The bedding, comfy, temperature just right, the space is open and plenty of areas to hang out in. The interior is beautifully designed. Tony, the mastermind behind Native is the best guy who was happy to chill out with the guests even though he is super busy. I really loved it at Native and everyone else will too.

Great hostel. Everything was very upscale- nice decor and furnishings. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided. The free breakfast was good (toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice). Don't need to bring a lock for lockers as they use a code to lock and unlock. Only complaint was that the WiFi is not password protected so none of my devices could connect for security reasons.

I love that Austin is getting more Hostels and how convenient the Native is on location to downtown activities. This was probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in and I will definitely stay at the Native again in the near future. Thank you, Jackie Sandifer Native Texas Resident

Hostel was nice and very clean. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There is an adjacent bar that can be noisy at night. Hostel is a little outside of the city center and the walk at night is down some dark streets.

Lovely hostel that felt very secure and safe. Lockers are large and have keypad locking mechanisms (don’t need padlock). Nice kitchen and communal lounge area. Outside patio is great for socializing with other guests. The bar/night club on site is definitely loud(!) until 2am so bring ear plugs!

It was hard to discern who was staff and who was just using the common area at times, there was a lot of coming and going with the doors to the bar open all day.. The staff i did speak to in the hostel side were nice. The place lacked personal touches like no tea coffee and no personal alcohol allowed. In my experience it's high in cool and a little low in soul. Tastefully furnished lounge and super comfortable beds.

My friend started her period. Staff was rude about it and charged me $50 for the sheets. Will not be back and don’t recommend.
