Great breakfast, friendly staff. Check-in is open all night which is great if you have a flight arriving at an awkward time. Location is a quick cab ride from the airport, and is right next to the principal tourist attractions. However this area is also mildly unsafe at night. The hostel itself is very secure. Only downsides are that there is almost no atmosphere, the air-conditioning is controlled by one person in the room (re: it goes on/off), and there are mosquitos/bugs!! It is the coast but..

Overall, nice facilities/very clean. It was mostly empty so it was quiet. great location right across the Malecon. However, my taxi wasn’t arranged even though I had confirmed months before. Also there was a weird moment when some men were in my room talking with guests about something shady. The staff did come in and asked them to leave. Staff let me change to an empty female dorm after and gave me a free beer! So I appreciated that. Cute cat. Breakfast could be more generous.

The hostel was nice and clean, breakfast was amazing. The staff didn’t speak that much English though. The rooms are air conditioned which is a blessing in Guayaquil

One of the weirdest vibes I have ever experienced at a hostel. No one wanted to socialize and I think it is just the atmosphere the staff and owner have decided to implement. The staff was not very helpful and could careless about your stay. Annoying how the staff would start playing music at 1100 loud in the reception which could be heard from my room yet not guest were in the common area. Not a place to meet fellow pack packers

Arrived early off a night bus, told we were not allowed use the wifi or the bathroom. We would have to pay extra to use the toilet!! The staff (one man in particular) was rude and intimidating. Whilst trying to sort out a confusion he asked my nationality (discrimination) because it matters to him and how he "views me and my country" We were treated with contempt; our presence annoyed the staff and their buddies who sat at reception. Avoid this hostel; un welcoming, unfriendly and unhelpful.
