This is the Gem of Toronto. Price is 1/4 of the cost of a hotel downtown and it comes with Breakfast. Parking is 10$ a day vs 50$ at most hotels. My family has been staying here for years.

Basic but good. I would likely stay again but they should provide an iron and ironing board.

Stayed one night here. Great location, within walking distance of everything I needed. It's what I expected. Just a room with a bed and a desk. Perfect if you're just looking for a cheap accommodation for sleeping. It's hot and noisy but that was to be expected. The rooftop deck was my favourite part.

Location is close to public transit and restaurants. Area can be a little dodgy at night. The room was a little dirty; floor is sticky, so I kept my socks on the entire time. Own private room, but washrooms are shared. Unfortunately, I was in Toronto during the heat wave. There was no AC or fan in the room; it was very humid and muggy; I had trouble falling asleep. Breakfast is complimentary but with limited items: water, juice, bagel, croissant, Rice Krispies, apple, and/or orange.

Pretty decent all around for the price. Would have been nice if the kitchen had some things to use for cooking and the floors in the room and bathroom could use a bit more of a sweep now and then. But the breakfast was nice and the price was very good.

Overall very good value for money, reasonably clean (it's not show-home clean, but things are neat and tidy). Kitchen was clean and everything worked. Only downside is that there is no AC. It's for that reason, and that reason alone, that I would choose not to stay there in the future. IF that's not a deal-breaker for you, then it is a decent place to stay in what is essentially downtown Toronto.

Hostel was ok. Staff was not really friendly. My reservation was lost and it took some time to get any feedback. There are kitchens which ca be used but no kitchen utensils. That was a pity Unfortunately, the bathrooms are only cleaned sporadically or not regularly. Breakfast has to be there between 7 and 8 o'clock, otherwise it can happen that you hardly get any breakfast

The beds are so uncomfortable, and they don't even have fitted sheets. So if you move at all in your sleep, you'll be exposed to bare mattress, which is so unsanitary. Also, it's pretty gross. I've stayed in plenty of hostels and have never seen such a gross bathroom. The shower curtain was hanging on by three hooks, there were stains everywhere, hair everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. The curtains do a poor job at blocking light and there's no air conditioning
