    Very Good

    05 Mar 2020
the only setback was the cleaningness which was not too good (like the drawers in the bathroom..., the kitchen in general, plates washed, but not really clean) and the wifi: it said that it covers all areas, but it did not. i tried various times, up to 5 am in the morning, it did not work in my bed.

I knew the hostel would be basic for the price, but this was even pushing the limit. The bed was comfy but the sheets smelt stale, and with no AC the rooms were almost unbearably hot. The bins got emptied once in the 4 days I was there, and didn't see anyone sweeping/mopping either the rooms or bathrooms. No idea who actually worked there, as only rarely would someone be sat on the reception stool. They don't have towels as advertised, didn't see any free dinner nor organised activities.

The previous reviews I read were misleading. The people working in the hostel was nice along with the owner but the floors and communal areas were very dirty. The beds and rooms were fine but the cost was slightly too expensive for what they were offering. They mentioned free coffee and dinners in the hostel but this was not true either. The location was near the sagrada familia but other locations and attractions were about 45 minutes walk away. I booked an 8 bed but was put in a 12 bed sadly.

The place is just really dirty. I woke up one morning with some old drunk guy threatening me. They kicked him out. |So for that I am grateful... But this place needs real improvement. I mean honestly, look at the ratings. You're going to get what you pay for.

the hostel is located near sagrada familia but quite far from the centre (30/40min walk) it's also near a v noisy street so it's hard to sleep quite dirty floors and the kitchen on hostel world, it says that there's free coffee and dinner but not the case on arrival the girls working there are really nice though! if looking for a cheap stay, it's alright

You get what you pay for. Honestly, the only reason we chose this place was because of the price. Location is great, one metro stop away from Sagrada Familia. You have to bring your own locks. The beds and linen were dirty, old, and rough. There were pieces of hair on the bed. The top bed creaked too much, so we had to sleep in two on the lower bed. The room was so unlit. When we first came in at night, the female staff was terrible, slamming doors, and wouldn’t let us drink water.

Worst hostel! Checkin i was charged extra for taxes that it said was included. Free evening meal advertised doesn't exist. Minimal information provided at checkin. Dirty, many items broken, chairs, cups i saw had broken handles and chipped. Little kitchen equipment, check the fridge temp? over full, smelt like something had died! Cleaned it?? When i complained the 'manager' lol told me to 'roll with it' and 'write a bad review'! Sad, dingy, poorly managed sh*t hole...a rip off people!

My entire Barcelona trip was bad because of this hostel. The hostel was extremely dirty with unkempt washrooms, people who stay here should forget the concept of hygiene. People steal food from the fridge. Beds are not made and infected with bed bugs. The host wouldn't care either. If this is the last available location to stay in Barca, i would never visit the place at all. Absolutely horrible!
