We loved our stay at the NOLA Jazz house! Silas was incredibly helpful with recommendations for everything... food, bars, even the weather. It was so convenient to get anywhere on the tram, and staying in the Mid-City area was great. Thank you for a great stay in New Orleans!

We loved the Jazz House! In fact, we were offered a free place to stay on our final night in New Orleans in a really nice condo, but we figured we'd have more fun staying at the hostel! It was a nice atmosphere where we met other cool travelers, but it never felt too loud or out of hand. The backyard had a really cool little courtyard, where you could strum a guitar or just chill with a beer. Silas at the front desk was also a total sweetheart. Thanks for everything! - Molly and Joey

Really awesome hostel. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, rooms are a great setup and there’s a really nice common area with Netflix and rear courtyard for hanging out. The trolley stop is just out the front of the hostel and it’s a short ride into the city centre. Thanks guys, we had a great stay.

I enjoyed my stay just know that the reception is not open 24/7 and the breakfast is unlimited pancakes but there are no drinks with that. There was some confusion with my room but I ended up enjoying my stay. The place is right by a street care and I highly recommend.

Nola Jazz House was great, loved the location in mid city. Awesome restaurants. Easy to use the street car in and out of the french quarter and only took about 10 minutes. Drop you off at the front door. Rooms were cozy, and AC worked great! I would book again. Also let us use their hostel in the French Quarter which was a nice home base and used that to pre game every night.

Super cute and personal! Silas was a fabulous host- he was so welcoming and had lots of knowledge about the area. There’s a streetcar station right in front of the hostel so getting around was really easy. The breakfast was great and the kitchen facilities were kept nice and clean. The rooms were very secure (keypad entry) but there were no lockers inside the rooms. There were also no hostel social events to meet other travellers

We had a really good experience at Nola Jazz House! It's very easy to get to the tourist areas, but I liked staying outside. There are great bars nearby (especially the Bayou Beer Garden, definitely worth a visit) and it's a bit calmer and quieter at night. Bathrooms, kitchen and rooms exactly what you'd expect from a hostel and the free breakfast was a nice touch. Silas was particularly helpful and friendly. My only criticism is that we had to move rooms and they didn't tell us in advance.

First time staying at the Nola Jazz house. We stayed in a private room which was basic but comfortable, which is what I payed for. The guy at the desk was extremely helpful and nice making us feel very welcome. The hostel is quite far from the main city but the street car runs right outside which we used everyday making it very convenient to get into the French quarter while spending very little money. I definitely recommend and would stay again.

Our private room was wildly overpriced for what we ended up getting. The bed was broken in the middle, there were dead roaches all over, and the free breakfast advertised was only rubbery pancakes. The social scene was non-existent. The staff member Silas was very friendly and helpful, but we could have easily gotten a hotel closer to the French Quarter for the kind of money we spent.
