It was my first stay in a hostel and I was pleasantly surprised. It was excellent value for money, especially as cereal, toast, tea and coffee are provided.

Wonderful, however on leaving I forgot to reclaim my key deposit of £10. I have emailed the hostel requesting my credit card which I paid for my stay, be reimbursed with the said, £10. So just awaiting receiving that sum. Regards enjoy your travels.

Very secure, clean and spacious hostel. Big kitchen and rooms. Nice beer garden but if you're staying in rooms above then you're going to have difficulty getting to sleep. Free breakfast, walking distance to city, beautiful park and coach station. Free use of lockers just byo lock.

Overall a very pleasant stay. The hostel is an older building, with room for improvement in some quarters. Location & people were great although the kitchen does get quite crowded between 7:30 and 9am - but that is to be expected - it is a hostel after all!

Considering the price one can't expect to much, and keeping that in mind it was okay. However the beds were bad (you could feel the springs), it was loud (you could hear everything through the walls). The breakfast included was fine, if you where there early enough otherwise it would all have been eaten (We were there 8.30 and there where only two pieces of bread left). The room was a little dirty, and the wifi didn't reach. The parking on the street was good, and the staff was very entusiasttic

The staff need to stick to the same thing I had booked for a three night stay but only stayed for two nights. I had been told by one member of staff that I could stay till 1pm on the sunday but when I checked again I was told yhat I had to be gone by 10 am. The brakfast was not as advertised it was Toast, Tea, Coffee, ceral and orange juice. The room was small and the door would not lock as it should have. I spent £197 a waste of money and time I was not even offered a refund for the night.

When I checked in I specifically asked if I would need a key for the front door but was assured that they had someone at the door 24 hours a day, as advertised online I came back to this hostel one night and the door was locked, I called the number repeatedly and there was no answer. I ended up calling loads of hotels in the area and then eventually found somewhere on the other side of Cardiff. When I complained the next day to the same guy he called me stupid so I left not wanting to rise to it
