Location

We're the perfect base for exploring Yucatán's capital – or even for booking a day trip to a jungle cenote or Mayan ruin. The bus from Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport takes about 30 minutes to reach Aviación 69. From there, it's 8 blocks to Nomadas. We’re just north of Plaza Grande and Paseo de Montejo, where you’ll see impressive colonial buildings and museums. Head to colourful Lucas de Gálvez market for an irresistible selection of authentic tacos, or go to Santa Lucia Square or Santa Ana Square for night stalls, music and dancing.

Rooms and Dorms

Our rooms channel Mexico through and through with mosaic tiling and bright walls. Mingle with other guests in the shared dorms, or if you prefer some time to yourself you can opt for a double or twin room. Bedrooms have fans to keep things cool, lockers for your stuff and free bed linen ready when you arrive. Some rooms even have en-suite bathrooms! It’s lights out at 12am, so you're sure to get a good night’s sleep.

Extras and activities

We'll make your stay even brighter with free breakfast every morning. We’ve also got a kitchen so you don’t have to rely on eating out all the time... although, does anyone get tired of quesadillas? We can organise cooking lessons if you want to try your hand at spicy, smoky Mexican cuisine. Our setup is pretty neat too – you'll prepare food outside amid tropical greenery. Wi-Fi is free here, so you can upload your masterpiece dish and pics of our cool pool area straight to Instagram.

Had a great time. Many people mention the rules here as being annoying, but personally I wish they had more rules pertaining to smoking etc. I do think they should give blankets, and not just sheets. We had someone in our room request the AC to be turned off, without any of us knowing, then it was pretty hot at night. If they gave blankets the person would have had the option to use a blanket, instead of making the executive decision to turn off the AC. Also the toilet water pressure sucks.

We had a great start at Nomadas. The bunk room was excellent and very roomy, the staff were friendly and the hostel is in a great location near to the central plaza in Merida. The facilities were also excellent - the pool and the games room were both great. We also enjoyed all the offerings the hostel had - for example the free salsa and yoga classes.

The cooking lessons were so fun and the pool was beautiful. There were plenty of bath facilities for how many people were there and it was clean. Great for young travelers who want to explore Mérida.

    Fabulous

The good!: - Breakfast was good - eggs or pancakes, fruit - pool is a nice hangout area, seats all around the outside to chill out. Breakfast area is also pretty good for relaxing, meeting people - staff is super helpful Could improve: - some of the bunk beds are very shaky and unsturdy, meaning I could feel every little movement from the other person - toilets don’t flush very well, and take like 5 minutes to fill up again - no place to put charging phone on top bunk within reach

The pool and hangout area was amazing. The breakfast as well. However, as a lot of comments already state; they love their rules. Signs everywhere. It's a bit weird to be honest, and people got told off for no reason which ruins the relaxed vibe of the place. BUT highly recommend chef Daniels cooking class!!! Great food and nice vibe

No atmosphere. Tried to get one going. Hotel staff killed the vibe. Hostel’s should be run by travellers, not locals. All the staff are locals and don’t appreciate the travellers/ backpackers life.
