Stayed here for 4 nights - super friendly staff, clean rooms and great location. Only downside was that the hostel was pretty quiet, making it harder to socialise - this was most likely due to it being mid week and COVID reasons. Would recommend staying here for sure!!!

Great hostel in an awesome location in Airlie. Rooms are big and the aircon is a great add for the Tropics. There were no communal events when I stayed which isn’t great when travelling solo but can organise a bunch of tours at reception.

Nice hostel in the nice location, I love the little cabins. Just when I arrived the staff had like a kind of mess about the reservations.

I wasn't the biggest fan to be honest. Firstly I will say that the room was nice with a comfortable bed and had a good shower but that's about it. There's no attention to detail with broken furniture everywhere and a kitchen that's pretty much unusable. It was pouring down with rain and it's very dark and slippery at night. This hostel would have been great 10 years ago when it had backpackers and was maintained but unfortunately, it's a bit rundown. It's a shame because of its great location.

It’s got a lot of potential to be a good hostel, but its inept management let it down. Firstly, with regards to COVID19 - the kitchen have replaced all the knifes, forks, plates and bowls with plastic throw away versions. This is environmentally irresponsible and the dorms are full, which shows they care little about covid safety. A better solution would be to hire a kitchen covid marshal, to ensure everything is sanitised. See the link above re: plastics waste.

Really disappointing. Staff was unprofessional, the room was dirty, the blanket on the bed were just ridiculous 1m.x1m, they gave extra but it's just too small and thin. They don't respect covid guidelines as the dormitory was full, in the kitchen though there are plastic plates and cutlery 😠, not environmental friendly!

Staff were unnecessarily rude and abrupt. Felt like we were inconveniencing them by checking in. Not clean at all. Dried gum under bunk beds, dirty underwear in sink, marks on walls etc. Very muddy and wet. Poorly lit and will need a phone torch to get around. Atmosphere was alright. But People play music out of their cars subwoofers until early hours in the morning on weeknights on absolute full blast and no one stops them.

Terrible kitchen. Nothing is working, I needed 30 minutes to boil water. Kitchen closes at 8:30pm, which is ridiculous.

Horrible place, showers were filthy, there were poopy underwear in the bathroom sink for days. Muddy and slippery, no lighting - bring a torch. Loud music constantly, reception closes at 9pm, not that they'd be any help anyway, they were so rude. Aircon was nice though. Do not park here either!! I parked in their designated Carpark and someone scraped the car. I asked management about cameras and they said they would get back to me, but they didn't, I had to chase them up and they were no help.
