Pretty nice hostel. Was worth the value you paid for, pretty awesome how you get a free breakfast and a free dinner meal even though I didn’t have any of it but definitely would go back again :)

Nomads Capital Backpackers was an overall good stay with a very active array of folks visiting. Each floor had multiple toilets and showers making it an breeze when necessary. I stayed in a four bed room, there was no air con and it was quite warm in the room at night. The front desk staff were helpful and knowledgeable about where and what to do for those in need. Unrelated to the hostel but with such a large amount of guests the common space was at times a bit loud but overall a good group!

My partner and I spent the New Year's holiday in a private room at Nomads. It was a cut above the Ibis airport kind of stay because the room was largish and personable, with a dresser, bedside tables and reading lights. The double bed with loft single was great for an afternoon nap whilst my partner tinkered 'downstairs' with his camera. The common areas were charismatic, albeit busy over the holiday. The location was ideal for accessing the city with lots of nearby shops and cafes.

Great hostel, pretty neat. Great value especially if you don’t want to spend money on food. They have free breakfast (pancakes) and dinner (portions are okay)! Wake up early if you want to eat breakfast (I’d say around 7:45AM, especially if the hostel is full... They have a big basket with a pancake mix but they don’t fill it up again if it runs out). Wifi isn’t the best. However, Papa Museum is five minutes away and honestly has the best free wifi in NZ ;).

Had a good stay. Can't comment on the atmosphere as I stayed off the back of a trip with G Adventures and already knew a few people around. Rooms are comfortable and bathrooms clean. Kitchen was decent and had plenty of cookwear. One problem with the shower - water drained super slow and seemed the same in other rooms. Free wifi only works in reception area which is a pain but is decent there. Good location in Wellington within walking distance to train station and all attractions.

Good location, clean rooms, comfy bed. The staff were a little slow at completing basic hostel tasks -although they eventually were able to meet the request. Alright for a couple of nights stay.

The location is great. But that’s the only thing great about it really. The WiFi is useless the people that work there are rude, and I am pretty sure more then half the people staying there are not staying there but living there. Dont advertise this as a hostel when it’s clearly more of a boarding house for rude Europeans that are to cheap and/or lazy to find their own accommodation in Wellington and act like they own the place. I would not have this listed as a hostel on your sight.
