I cannot recommend this hostel and nomads in general because of how amazing the staff were, upon arrival we met the man the myth the legend that is Simon, and once he discovered we had nothing really planned for our trip to aus, he worked is magic and organised an incredible one month itinerary for us all up the east coast. He went who’ve and beyond to help us have the best time possible, that includes the taking fireball shots with us at base, cannot ever thank him enough !

Overall awesome hostel, really nice people. The only downside however is that the wifi literally does not work. But the beds all have curtains so you’re guaranteed privacy and a restful sleep!

Great to stay here in Nomads, met some lovely people and great staff. Good events are put on and if you like to party, they team up with Base, a hostel nearby who put on great party events. Only a couple of downsides; 1. WiFi is terrible, I found it rarely worked at all, and when it did it wouldn’t be good enough to load anything anyway. Needs to be sorted. 2. Kitchen is a bit small so during meal times, it gets quite crowded. Other than that, I can’t fault Nomads. Love it here.

perfect location, made a ton of friends! tenants were very respectful about not partying in the bedrooms. the kitchen was very clean compared to other hostels. the dining room tables could definitely be wiped off more often. the bathrooms were generally disgusting lol but they’d usually be ok by the morning. I love the staff and it’s a very friendly atmosphere. the bunks were nice and private. I would definitely stay here again & recommend it to others.

Atmosphere is good. Made friends quite easily.. rooms need more fans. It's too hot! My only big issue is the mouse problem. I had to throw away half my food as there were mouse droppings all over my dry goods bag, even though the bag was hung up on the hooks 😡

Good location, nice staff but living with mice and cockroaches in the room was disgusting. Mouse droppings in my belongings and kept me up all night because I could here them running about the room and going through my stuff. Manager was nice enough to refund me but I would not stay there again! Cleaning team need to do more regular visits to the toilets, many times I would walk in to toilet paper and wet towels on the floor and no soap.

The main downfall is that the rooms are very crammed and with there being no air conditioning it’s very uncomfortable. Everyone is smoking weed so your room and the communal areas will smell of it - staff turn a blind eye to this. Location is good and close to trams but would not stay again
