Polish up your Japanese over a meal in the café (hint: the language gets easier after a few drinks!), or hold a make-your-own sushi party in the shared kitchen. There's also a common room for guests on the sixth floor where you can read, chat and sip your free tea or coffee. From Narita International Airport, Skyliner electric railway takes you all the way here in under an hour. Nui. Hostel is in the colourful Asakusa district. In the 20th century, this was Tokyo's main entertainment zone – you can spend hours wandering around theatres, restaurants and izakaya (bars). There are three metro stations (on the Asakusa, Toei Ōedo and Ginza lines) within 10 minutes' walk, making it easy to get to Tokyo's other attractions.

We've got lots of different rooms here to suit different kinds of travellers. Some rooms have an en-suite and all bathroom facilities have walk-in showers and jacuzzis for a bit of indulgent you-time.

Great location and good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. I forgot my adaptor and charger and the staff were more than accommodating in finding it, and then posting it to me. Overall great place to stay. Highly recommend.

Excellent! Staff were accommodating, friendly and welcoming; the beds were comfortable and sufficiently private — each has curtains; the bathrooms were impeccable — showers are individual and each have a private changing room with a shelf and place to hang your clothes; location was great — near the subway and a short walk from several common destinations. My only complaint was that I didn’t stay long enough! I’ll definitely visit NUI next time I’m in Tokyo :)

nui was a great hostel, the bar/coffee shop on the main floor is also top notch. Some cool infusions and a good selection of Japanese whisky. Staff are wonderful and overall just a very pleasant stay. Great location too, love the neighborhood and being walking distance from places like kappabashi was awesome. FYI craft beer market kanda and ramen kikanbo are a short train ride or 45 min walk from nui, both were some of the best places i went to in Japan

Best place out of all the hostels I've stayed at so far in Japan. Such a relax kind of vibe with extraordinarily helpful and English speaking staff. Beds were soft, rooms were clean and big. On the 6th floor you'll find a large and well equipped kitchen. There's also a big lounge area. The hostel's location is just perfect. Very close to the subway and walking distance to Asakusa. A little out of town, enjoy some quietness after a day of squeezing yourself through Tokyo. I highly recommend!

The Hostel is for sure one of the better ones in Tokyo! If you're in Tokyo and want to meet fellow travelers definitely go to Nui!! Just go to the common room on the 6th floor as the Bar on 1st is very cool, but rather expensive and mostly full of locals. (Just go to 7/11 around the corner ;) The rooms and washrooms themselves are very clean and the staff incredibly friendly! They can also store your luggage after you leave for the day! The location is also very convenient. (Metro/Senso-Ji)

I loved staying at this hostel! The staff are so friendly and it has a great vibe with the cafe/bar on the first floor and rooms in the floors above it. It is really close to a train station and most days, I didn't know if I wanted to leave because I loved staying in the common area. They have great coffee and drinks and a lot of space to hang out. People are super friendly as well - the other people staying as well as the staff. I made a lot of friends while I was there. Would stay again!

This place was great. The lounge really made it for me. Coffee, food, and beer in a laid-back, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. I spent several hours a day just drinking coffee and reading here. The place is very international and English isn't a problem. The beds are fine, although I would have appreciated more shelf/storage space. Bathrooms/showers were clean and spacious. Location is good: 10 minute walk from Asakasa and nearby to the Sumida River where you can run/walk.

Even though it was a bit on the pricer side, my friends and I had a blast at Nui. We found the staff very welcoming, and the atmosphere within the common rooms was very entertaining and exciting; It had given us the ability to socialise and make friends which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Located conveniently for Asakusa and the Skytree building. Far away from other popular tourist areas in Tokyo. Very close to subway stations. The vibe in the hostel was very quiet, mainly local Japanese people staying there and not much of a communal, meeting other people vibe in the dorm or cafe/bar downstairs. Room facilities were great, allowed for privacy in the bunks and bathroom facilities were excellent. Very clean and felt very secure and safe
