Property Description

We have a saying at Oasis Backpacker's Hostel Malaga – if you can't meet anyone here, you can't meet anyone anywhere! Or maybe that was, ‘why do my socks smell like tequila?’ Either way, with cheap drinks, two bars and endless activities, we keep travellers mingling all night long.

We want everyone to join in the fun. Whether we're spending the day basking in the warm Andalusian sun at one of Malaga's many beaches (yes, even in the winter), sipping cocktails while looking out over the skyline on our rooftop bar or stumbling through the historic centre after one of our famous nights out, you will be welcomed into the family...Oasis style!

We could tell you about our amazing central location right in the historic city centre, just few meters away from the liveliest nightlife...or our beautiful building next to the Thyssen Museum...or our spacious and modern dorms and free Wi-Fi...or our futuristic coffee maker...but this is Oasis. That stuff is standard. Instead, we would like to let you know our philosophy:

Our hostel, by choice, is a party hostel. We believe that you should have a cheap bed, clean room and a drink in your hand. We believe that a hostel is a place for meeting other interesting travellers before sleeping with them (take that how you want).

We also know while we might not be the best place for getting a good night’s sleep we are definitely the best place for staying up in Malaga. Besides, you can sleep on the beach.

Everything we do, whether it's our free walking tours, Beer Olympics, Not-so-pub-crawl Pub Crawls or endless array of other activities, our aim is to give you the best damn time in Malaga. Our staff have all undergone numerous training regiments in cultural, social and musical revolutions.

Come stay with us in Malaga and we'll do our best to help you forget you ever did. View House Rules

If you do not speak Spanish it is hard to get involved with the activities with the other guests. Everyone, including the guests were all friendly and open. I was very happy with the room especially- 10 bed mixed dorm, it was kept extremely clean and air conditioned throughout the stay.

Very nice hostel right in the center of the old city. Clean and well organized. Only snag is the drunken revellers coming into the dorms in the small hours of the morning, chatting and laughing. But then, they do fall asleep fairly quickly. And then they snore. Ear plugs highly recommended. Would - and probably will - stay here again.

Chilled out hostel with a sociable environment. Dorms were hot. There’s a bar on the roof BUT NOT part of the hotel. Can only chill on roof when open and if you buy a drink. Good location, can maybe find something cheaper

I had great time staying at the oasis. The staff is very kind. I highly recommended doing the Pub crawl with Andrea it’s the best way to meet new people and it worth the 10€ for sure. The place is very hard to find at the first time but I think it was just funny. The only bad thing is you cannot accès the rooftop in the day and commun areas aren’t that nice.

The AC remote controller is not in the rooms and there is no blanket, you either have to freeze up all the night or to ask the reception to switch it off and stay all night up because of the overheat

You can't sleep here because the windows allow sound in and guests are apparently allowed to make noise in the courtyard below as late as they want, which is virtually all day and night. Simple to fix. I wouldn't go back. Rest is precious when you're travelling.

My room was pretty unpleasant to sleep in. Mainly because someone was watching tv on their phones without headphones all night, and people were slamming doors constantly. The beds are reeeeally squeaky, like any movement across the room will wake you up. And the draws under the beds are super loud. So you basically won’t get any sleep if you have anyone who’s up late in your room.

Oasis Backpackers' Hostel Malaga says

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is our location, five minutes from the cathedral, the Picasso Museum and the Thyssen. We're also just 10 minutes from the beach and we've got one of the most popular bars in town up on our terrace. It's got a great atmosphere, plus we serve the best cocktails in town.
Personally, though, I think you can't leave Málaga without visiting El Pimpi. It\'s a bodegón around 300 years old and was originally part of the Palacio Bella Vista, which incorporates the present day Picasso Museum. The name comes from one of its past owners, El Pimpi, who used to sell supplies at the docks to the seafarers from the sugar cane export ships. For a while it was a convent before being converted into a night club, and was then given a gentler existence as a Bodegón, as it is today. You can taste all the different types of wine and enjoy their best tapas, or have a lovely plate of ham and cheese. You won't find that kind of atmosphere anywhere else.
Our hostel is suited for every kind of guests; we are always full of people of every age and taste. We also have a special room with ensuite bathroom prepared for persons with special needs, such as an elevator.
