Property Description

Hola from the Oasis family!

We would like to welcome you to our hostel, (your home-away-from-home).

We opened our doors to backpackers and other world travelers in 2005, and we are proud to be the first hostel in Puerto Vallarta.

Built from the ground up, and little-by-little, Oasis now boasts four floors with dorms, private rooms, showers, and several “chill” spots onsite. You will never feel crowded at the spacious Oasis Hostel.

Begin your mornings with yoga or coffee on our rooftop terrace with its panoramic view of beautiful Puerto Vallarta. Or better yet, complete your day there with a refreshing “evening” beverage. Join other travelers, or relax alone. The option is yours.

When you travel, the location of your accomodations is a big consideration. Oasis is conveniently situated in an authentic Mexican neighborhood, just five minutes from all the tourists attractions including our world-famous beaches (by bus). Or fifteen minutes distance on-foot.

Speaking of convenience, there is a 24 hour Kiosko only meters away. But, if you get the munchies, and prefer to stay in, we offer a snack bar, with noodles, chips, candy, cookies, popcorn, soda, and water. You can even purchase a cold cerveza (beer) should you desire. Plus, there are numerous food stands within walking distance.

• FREE breakfast with pancakes, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice everyday from 8-10 AM
• FREE filtered water and filtered ice

I really enjoyed my stay here! It's in a more authentic Mexican neighbourhood, maybe a 15-20min quiet walk from the main touristy beach, but that's part of the appeal for me, away from touristy areas. The rooftop is great to chill out, and I enjoyed the taco place across the road. The place is clean, and the atmosphere is pretty chill, met some cool people, and most of all the staff are awesome, friendly, warm and kind people. I really enjoyed chatting to them and practicing my Spanish!

Yuan, Sandra and staff were awesome and treated me like family during my stay. The location was perfect: a quick walk to El Remance, Old Town, Centro and Los Muertos beach. The bus stop, a Kiosko (corner store), liquor store, tacos and barbecued chicken are all right there. Food markets are a quick 5 minute walk away, and I got to immerse myself in the culture in the authentic Mexican village of El Remance. Had a fabulous stay and will be back!

I had a great stay at Oasis Hostel. It was exactly what I was looking for - a non party hostel that was close to the touristy areas, but in a local neighborhood. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the heart of the Romantic Zone. Busses are abundant in the area, and a quick, inexpensive Uber ride will get you back to the hostel if it’s late at night. It caters a crowd that wants to enjoy each other’s company without partying 24/7. Great staff and also a really beautiful rooftop. Would recommend.

I really enjoyed staying at Oasis. Very beautiful and put together hostel. It is the slow season so I had some space to myself. I'll be in the area so I could end up staying again later on if it works out. From the female dorm I could hear a church bell that goes off every once and a while, and sometimes construction sounds. I recommend ear plugs to buffer the sound.

Wonderful place ! To start off they welcome you with a welcome beer. Have a free breakfast which unfortunately couldn't try. Has a beautiful terrace. with hills surrounded. Place is really clean. Really nice and fun people. Sandra and the other guys does a great job. They even partied with us on the terrace. Let me hangout for couple hours after I checked out as I had a flight in the afternoon.

Incredible! I extended my stay from 3 to 7 nights. The dorms were really nice, mine was a 6 bed f with a private bathroom and shower. The terrace was gorgeous and I spent time up there working on projects or with people from the hostel. I was there during Semana Santa so it was a bit busy at the end of my stay but not a party hostel. When it was not as busy it was so lovely and private. Great views of the hillsides and a short walk into the city or the city bus stops to go elsewhere.

I speak fluent Spanish, so the unresponsiveness from the staff to address the issues that the other girls (strangers to me) and myself had about the room, was unacceptable. When I arrived, the other girls that had been in the room asked me to let the staff know AGAIN that there was a broken glass (not there’s) & other dissatisfactory conditions. Trash was not changed for days. Soap is WATERED down. Toilet takes 10 minutes to refill & you’re screwed if you don’t flush it right. Choose elsewhere.
