Pretty flawless. A simple rural retreat in contrast to the other touristy villages in the area. The rooms are brand new, spotlessly clean and spacious. Two terraces - one for eating downstairs with views of the mountains and locals, one upstairs with a hanging chair for chilling. Delicious homemade breakfast for 15RMB that will fill your boots (so to speak) for a day of hiking. Lots of helpful advise for treks. This undoubtedly deserves the full 10, suitable for an extraordinary national park.

Had a good time here at this place. The food is overpriced and avg at best, however, the beds and the location are perfect. In a very quite area and in yangjiajie which is a non touristy area. Would recommend it!

What an amazing place, run by amazing people. Carol and her sister has been such a great help, organizing tours and taxis. Love this hostel! Ideally situated close to the entrance of Yangjiajie Ticket Station and Cable Way. We had a great week there.

I stayed here for five nights and had an amazing time. I really recommend the hostel: the location is great if you aim to enjoy the nature and the peacefulness. The owners are just lovely and careful. The food is really delicious! There is not a village, but the entrance to the national park is very close. I would definitely recommend the place. The owners do not speak English, but WHATEVER you need you can talk to Carol who is always willing to help. They arrange pick up from airport.

The host (Carol) is unbelievably kind and considerate! She helped me plan my entire trek, picked and dropped me off where the tourist bus stops (at Zhonghu) and couldn’t help enough! Her father even prepared a meal for me in the attached restaurant! Unbelievable value for money when you’re literally a 3 minute walk to the parks ticket office. Hope I can return some day! :D

I came in the Chinese New Year so review is of that - Loved it overall! Good: V. clean, V. Good staff, taxis arranged so we could go around the region. The superior rooms are very nice. Western loos/showers. The less good: February - the place was freezing cold, the heating didn’t work when the cable way was on as it sucked all power in the region. The classic rooms didn’t heat up even when the heating was on. Not a good location for the Tianmen mountain/glass bridge, both very expensive.

We weren’t checked in at the hostel shown in the pictures but instead at Tongfu Inn (which is also posted on HostelWorld) which is very different so obviously our expectations weren’t met from the beginning which is taking down the grading. But with that being said the location is great and you get a very local and real experience. Carol who runs the hostel is amazing - she helps with everything - and she makes you feel at home. The food is incredible as well! All in all a good experience.
