This place is run by a sweet family and was one of the greatest homely feels I've ever had. The place is simple and cosy and was a great stay in Onomochi. After cycling across the Shimanami Kaido from Imabari, I was quite exhausted and they were very hospitable. From the smallest gestures from bringing me my luggage when it arrived and hanging and folding my laundry next to my bunk, I felt I was well taken care of. They even helped me plan my onward journey. It was a fantasy stay. Thank you!

Small family-run hostel in a nice part of town. Absolutely lovely hosts. Go out of their way to make sure you have a lovely time in Onomichi, even driving me to the bike rental to start my trip along the Shimanami Kaido. And this is while looking after a little boy and newborn baby! Lots of love and respect from this Australian.

Yuka was so friendly and gave us detailed tips when we told her we were biking the Shimanami Kado. The 12 person room we booked turned out to be a 6 person room which was a pleasant surprise. The room was small but comfortable enough. It's a good location, near restaurants and shopping. Yuka recommended Ichiraku Ramen for dinner and it was delicious! She even let us leave our bags for two nights while we went on our bike trip which we really appreciated.

We had a great stay at Onomichi Guesthouse Fuji. The hostel is close to restaurants and shops and not too far from the train station and bike rental shops. The staff are an amazing couple who are super friendly and really go out of their way to help.

A delightful couple run this hostel out of their house (they've converted the two upstairs rooms into dorms and live downstairs with their 2 kids (one boy around 6-8 and one baby). They were really helpful on arrival - talked me through a map of Onomichi and what to see/where to eat, as well as a thorough breakdown of the Shimanami Kaido cycle and recommendations for it. They washed, dried and folded my laundry for 300 yen (500 if you're only staying one night). The beds are a little squeaky but

A charming little place run by a really lovely helpful couple. It's a rather cramped building with only a single shower and toilet for the shared rooms so don't come looking for luxury, but for a friendly fun stay on a low budget. It's absolutely fine
