I LOOOVED staying in this hostel! It is very nicely decorated (Ocean vibes, enormous beautiful wall painting of an octopus in the common area), surprisingly clean for a hostel and very calm. Above all, I am grateful for amazing stuff that went out of their way to provide me w/ everyhting I needed to feel safe and protected, which sometimes I do not feel in hostels as a girl travelling alone. They also let me switch rooms to avoid the creeper I was initially sharing the room with! Grata

Great place! I only stayed 1 night, flying early the next day. Reception was welcoming, the place was tidy and perfectly comfortable! Location-wise, I really liked it; however, while metro is close, the hours are limited and there aren't any other transport options in the area during the late night hours. If you'll be out late or leaving early, be sure to write down a local taxi number, since reception is not 24-hours (available only from 08h-midnight during my stay). Tudo fixe. I'll be back!

The hostel is about 24 min by car from the center of Porto which is eur15-18 by Uber . We booked it because virtually everything else in the city was booked. The staff is super friendly, helpful and positive and the breakfast is super nice too. We stayed in a loft room that had 3 beds in common space, 2 pairs of beds behind the curtains, and no door - there's a staircase leading to the whole space from below. We didn't have any problem with that - we stayed for just one night - 5am to 10am

Nice Hostel in The North of Porto. Good to start your Camino or if you arrive late from the airport. Breakfast wasn’t mine and just instant coffee. Beds had curtains and therefore a lot of privacy.

My experience was really good. I stayed 4 nights in a 4-bed room but was alone. Friendly stuff and basic breakfast. The hostel is far away from city center. There was no key to lock the room, the front door lock was not working ok and the changed the code without noticing me. Main downside: You cannot take a shower with basic privacy: there are 2 showers, 2 sinks and a toilet in the same bathroom but if someone enters it they will see you naked (there is not even a lock in the door!)

No thought for safety and security of guests. No locks on doors to rooms or the bathrooms, and the only lock is the front door to the hostel. Keypad combination to the front door is displayed at the front desk, with potential to be seen by anyone walking by or from the landing of the second entrance. Very small luggage storage under each bed with broken locks. Replacement locks are not safe! No shelving or hooks for clothing or towel in bathrooms. Smoking from balcony's fills room with smoke.

Not the cleanest hostel. I woke up to 2 dead spiders in my bed. It‘s also basically in the middle of the highway, neither close to the center nor to the beach (eventhough it‘s called ocean hostel). Also not the most social hostel, got a bit of a weird vibe. However, breakfast was nice and good facilities.

This hostel is located right on a reasonably busy road a long way from the city. It's about a half hour walk from the beach and ten minutes to a nearby park, basically in a dead zone. The staff were pretty and let and seemed put out by having guests around.
