A beautiful little hostel. I was so happy with it. The outside terrace is just so lovely to relax and chill out. All the staff are welcoming and it feels like a little family when you are there. I was skeptical after reading reviews about the hostel being dirty but this is not true they clean it everyday. It’s such a lovely place and I would reccomend anyone staying here if you want to make friends in a beautiful place x

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Orange Terrace hostel. It had a great vibe with music playing during waking hours and great spots to lounge. Some negatives were: more hooks are needed in the bathroom or a spot to put hang you towel and clothes. It was too hot to close our door at night and people were sitting right outside our room looking in while we were sleeping. The hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw staff cleaning often.

A really nice hostel with a family vibe and very friendly staff. The terrace is the perfect spot to meet people and the bbq night was very enjoyable. Only a small thing but it would be nice if the beds got an upgrade.

2 hours before checking in I asked the reception lady if I could use the toilet and she told me I wasn't allowed and to go to the bars and restaurants close by instead. I checked in with the same lady and asked if it was possible for me to have a bottom bunk and she sighed and stomped out like I was a massive inconvenience to her, then again when I checked out and left my bag in storage and asked to use the toilet and WiFi she VERY OBVIOUSLY reluctantly let me in, and eventually told me to leave

I didnt feel comfortable about there being no lock on room I was in. I got there 5mins before check in time and got told rudely that i would have to sit and wait...fine i was a bit early but dont be rude about it. Also checking out and returning to get bags was a hassle, my friends were staying on another night and i wasnt able to chill out with them unless i paid 5 euro. Staff rude however the rest of hostel was amazing with great location to town and beaches

able to store bags (locked securely in separate building) & use toilet to change clothes & such, but cant access facilities before checkin time (unfortunately standard in many algarvehostels). not the cleanest & shared bathrooms need to be cleaned more (fine for beach hostel); cleaning lady/female hostel manager very rude&cleans before 11am, if u stay after 11am in room, this lady is very rude about u staying in ur room (happened to me & a friend separately; lacked an atmosphere/no hostel events

One of the staff members in particular was very negative and bossy. Once you have checked out she charges you to even use the toilet if you are returning to grab your bags. They play music early in the morning to make you get up. There was no air con in our room and just a fan that was slightly broken so it was too loud to use making it impossible to sleep. The hostel is super nice and real clean and great location but just seems like your in the lady’s house with her rules.

My sister and I mostly enjoyed our stay here, until the final minutes when we had a SOUR experience with the receptionist. Check out is at 11am. We checked out with her around 10am. We stored our luggage and were told by her that we could return with leisure. We returned around 11:30am with about an hour to kill. We wanted to use WiFi and relax. To our SHOCK, the same woman who had checked us out denied us entry back into the hostel. Not even for the restroom. She threw us out completely. Sad.

Overall facilities at Orange Terrace were fine but our experience was tarnished by the unfriendly staff and hostile company policy. We weren't allowed into the building before check in or after check out unless we paid 5€pp bc they were "cleaning", not even to use the bathroom. The no-alcohol-bought-outside policy is fine but the hostel bar only accepts cash (all local ATMs charge 4€) . Staff were in general rude, unhelpful and the hostel lacked atmosphere. V expensive for a sub-par experience.

Room was tiny. 4 bed room, only standing space for one or 2 people at a time. Very awkward. One of the most expensive hostels so this was not a nice surprise. Hotel across the road with a pool was the same price we discovered so didn't stay the second night as was the original plan. Weird atmosphere, felt like staying in someone else's house as there seems to be a few people/couples living there. Have to go out side to access bathroom/showers. Location was very good though. Very close to beach.
