The staff were friendly and helpful, the hostel was clean, breakfast was adequate (and free), and my room was average for a hostel. They even had frozen, chef-cooked meals available for a reasonable price you could heat up in the huge kitchen. The worst part was the location. You are a little away from the downtown. It's close enough, but it's a 25ish minute journey. I never felt unsafe in the area and I waited for an airport bus at 5:30 AM on the side of a highway.

One of the employees even did get a Parcel for me from the postoffice!!!! It was just a pity, that the emails in this case landed in my Spam. So I realised it to late and I got earlier to Oslo as planned. But nevertheless Thank you for this extra offer. Frieda

A decent, standard hostel way out in the outskirts of Oslo. A solid 45 min walk to downtown, or 25 min bus/subway/tram. Otherwise, great staff, good facilities, and on the cheaper end of the (very expensive) Oslo price range.

A very nice and clean hostel with an amazing kitchen. Pots, pans, baking trays, oven, etc. Certainly not the place to meet other travellers and the location is a bit far out of the main city. It's a quiet area though which is nice. Now that we're in 2018 it's about time that hostels should have plugs next to each bed. There were only 2 plugs in a room of 4. The door of the room also closed very loudly. The breakfast was good with cereal, toast, cheese, ham, salad, fish, yogurt, tea, coffee, etc

The location was the biggest down side for me, I didn't find anything within walking distance. Also, most of the showers were in bad conditions, they offer lockers but sell padlocks which is a bit...strange. The staff was overall cool but there was a lack of empathy, I guess. They were out of public transportation tickets so I had to do research on how to get tickets cheaper and it was not buying them on the spot as I was instructed

This is the only hostel available in Oslo that's pretty cheap and the free breakfast is a great plus. However, sadly, I had three pretty bad night's sleep. There was quite a bit of noise around the hostel area and one night someone new came in and disturbed the room pretty much every hour. I wouldn't stay here again to be honest.

Hostel had a beautiful view on top of the hill and had an extensive free breakfast, but felt a little too out of the way when wanting to go into the city center. Dorms didn’t have enough space to store things. I was pretty disappointed with the level of hospitality. Found my sheets taken off my bed one day before checkout and reception said it’s something that “just happens.” Was annoyed I had to replace my bedding twice during my 2-night stay. Staff was friendly but not that helpful.
