Great location in the centre of town. Easy to walk to hostel from the one main bus stop in few minutes and to the marina to get a boat to Palmeria island. Easy to explore Portovenere's main street and the seaside with a sunset view - not all towns on the coast have a sunset view. Lockers in room so this brings a sense of security. Helpful staff about early arrival and information. Huge common room with not much of an atmosphere, but it's a place to eat food from nearby Conad supermarket.

Really good location, found it easily. Met some really lovely people who I ended up spending most of my time with. Yes Porto Venere doesn't have a train station but it is beautiful and there is a boat to Cinque Terre or I highly recommend the hike to Riomaggiore. Only negatives 1 bathroom between 8 women meant there was alway a queue to get ready morning and evening. And as mentioned by others the lockers don't lock (although maybe you just need a big lock?).

View of town and harbor from hostel windows. Very nice location. Cooking facilities limited, microwave and toaster oven. Beds are good. Wifi good. Dining and common room large with big screen TV. Receptionist Francesca was very pleasant and accommodating. William Beyers USA.

The hostel was very comfortable. I slept in an all-girls room, the only problem was that the shower was tiny and a bit uncomfortable but it's fine. Porto Venere is beautiful and so chill, it's the perfect place to stay it you want to visit Cinque Terre. I actually liked it more than some of the Cinque Terre towns. It's a 30 min bus ride from La Spezia where you can take a train to the Cinque Terre.

Lovely hostel right in the heart of town, so easy access to everything. I only stayed 1 night, would have preferred to stay longer, at least another night. Overall the staff were very helpful and accommodating

The lady checking me in was amazing and very friendly, gave me lots of tips and advice on the cinque Terre. Was the only one in my room so it wasn’t very social the hostel which I don’t think it would be either. No kitchen and just this large mess hall. There was a one year olds birthday party the night I stayed which was very wierd for me.

The AC was not working so we could not sleep all night. The first room we got only had a fan eventhough it said when we booked that all rooms had AC. After mentioning that we got a new room with a poorly working AC but during the night it got so hot in there so we could not sleep. Not a pleasant experience from this stay :/
